For $485 and no contract it's not a bad deal for someone who was going to have to pay full retail. Just doesn't come with a box which for me is sorta a deal breaker...
no it just said the "tracking number is ." but now i cannot get it to show that to me again....I've seen it pop up 3 times out of about 20 times, im on the phone with verizon now trying to find out if its shipped or not...

Does the Incredible come with an 8GB MicroSD card? I have read reviews stating it came with an 8GB MicroSD in the slot and others stating that they do not come with the 8GB MicroSD. Yes I know it also has 6.6GB usable internal storage.

So do I. I know rates vary from state to state, but I didn't realize they were so low some places (w the exception of the few that have no sales tax whatsoever).
I live in California and I got charged $51.67 sales tax based on the retail price. But I don't begrudge 'em--California needs the money. Between the unemployed and the millionaires, nobody's paying state income tax and the place is going to hell...have to repave the streets with firm tofu

Ok, so that did come out sounding wrong. I am thrilled for the people who are getting theirs early, and insanely jealous lol. I know b*tching at verizon wont get me anywhere so it was meant jokingly.
I did call and said " I just want to make sure everything is fine with my order bc I've never upgraded phones online before" and the rep was awesome and super nice. He said its processing, and that they are doing these orders on a 1st come 1st serve basis. We were talking about how he ordered his too and how he wished vzw would let the employees get the phone early. I told him about 'someone from a forum' who received the phone today and he said that there was a slip up and a few dozen phones were released before it was realized, now they may keep processing and releasing but the reps dont know all the details. Sounds like vz is completely disorganized when it comes to this phone.

I just called the internet orders number...to see if I could change my shipping to overnight instead of standard.
They guy that answered told me that their stock is getting so high that the computer is shipping some orders early. He said that he can't change anything (as many others have confirmed), and that it is all controlled by computer. However, he told me several times that it is highly likely that I'll get it before the 29th.

It actually says on the preorder page that California residents will be charged tax on the full retail value and not the discounted price. That is why everyone else's tax is so low comparatively.

I ordered mine online at 12:0 FREAKING 2 Monday morning! WTF gives? When I log in to the new "My Verizon", which btw is a joke, my account simply says, you've recently updated to a new device and it has not been activated yet. When I check the "status of my order", it says no order is associated with that number. WTF? What happened to the 29th? All I know is I'm ripping the first VZW CSA a new one when I call at lunch today. BTW, congrats on your phone.

Verizon opened the site early. I had my order done at 11.42 ( i have the order sheet) and was in bed by midnight.

I haven't got charged my credit card yet...
I am pretty sure they charge us when they ship our phones...
and my order status still says
"Order Status: Your order is awaiting approval or phone availability. Please check back in a few days."
so don't worry. we all are getting same messges except few lucky members got their phones today...
As far as the activation, you can either call to activate or do it online...
I got them to move my NE2 date!!

Yo, go easy on 'em. I talked to 2 diff. CSRs yesterday because I had issues, too. They all said "we knew this phone would be big, but we are swamped with way more calls and orders than what we expected, and the system has been crashing intermittently." In fact, it was down for hours.
If you've ever dealt with irate customers, it's not fun. I'm usually at an advantage 'cause I have an IV needle in my hand
