There is no "public mode". You are with Boost mobile and I am with Public Mobile. We just got the N861. Boost mobile and Public Mobile are completely different companies. Public Mobile is in Montreal and Toronto in Canada.

oh ok thanks so the rom u are working on will work with the sequent from boost so this rom is based on bo7 bo9 or b11

This ROM is for Public Mobile. It is based off of the Public Mobile B07 which is not the same as the boost mobile version. flashing this ROM on boost will result in the loss off mms functionality.

i download c++ on computer and unzip and then i download zte driver and install on computer but after that i connect usb to phone and what option on phone we need select chargeing only or what plz can u tell me what is next instrution bcz i try found i cant find help for root

Does the public kernel have the ram issue? Also have you tried flashing dtms kernel to see how it performs? Even though it has the ram issue if it works fine our jb custom Roms like cm10 and carbon jellybeer etc should work fine too.aside from camera and Bluetooth not working and maybe MMS for you guys.

Select terminal and install recovery only. Then use the the su busybox installer to flash root in recovery. Parle-tu francais? I must ask why you want to root?
The mean reson why I wana root bcz I don't like some apps in rom and I want some apps which needs root and more I like custom room bcz before I have zten860 since I use only custom rom with root so that's why I want root zte n861
I read ur instrution I try do it but usb click on debungging mode then do rhe way u told me

If terminal doesn't work, try fastboot...
its work with terminal so i did cwm touch recover then i click root so the msg come on my coputer ur phone should be rooted so its mean my phone is root
so what is the best custom rom for public mobile so after flash custom rom if i need to go back on stock rom ?
There is only one rom for public mobile at this time and it is in the op of this thread.

Think he meant section, like how the OG warp had a section for the original "Boost Mobile" and another section on all things root for "public mobile"
A Request to a guide or Mod add it will do the trick.

Hey I got my PM n861 yesterday. Do I have a bad phone?
I get excessive static noise when using headphones (same on any output source). The noise gate release in the phone is so short that it cause clicks and pops, like it's 0ms brickwall pure evil. They have clearly pushed the analog gain over the roof if this is by design. Using audio apps, I need to allow an extra -10db of head room and filter the highs slightly to avoid sound distortion. What I'm left with is audio that's not loud enough, a tolerable noise level but almost every level drop in the dynamic range is still producing clicks. I can't count how many times it clicks in a track. Without using any app or filters, there's no escape. With touch sounds enabled, playing with settings or simply any sound triggered creates noise that clicks away. It's like the phone's system audio files were too soft and they compensated by boosting the analog gain to noise distortion levels and fixed it with gate. My Rise never produced any signal noise or artifacts.
Dear Goatman, the time wasted. At least I can still return it if it's a bad phone. Could this be fixed by tweaking whatever is handling the audio drivers? If this is a known issue how do you live with it? :O
