Root Rooted user in need of assistance

I paid someone to root the phone for me, and it was returned to me in this condition, and the man has since vanished, unassumingly because of his failure and fear of retaliation.

Model: PC36100

When i power on the device it comes to a screen that has the following:

Code:
SUPERSONIC EVT3 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-2.10.0001
MICROP-041f
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac
RADIO-2.15.00.11.19

FASTBOOT

<VOL UP> to previous item
<VOL DOWN> to next item
<POWER> to select item

BOOTLOADER
REBOOT
REBOOT BOOTLOADER
POWER DOWN

If i select BOOTLOADER it takes me to this menu

Code:
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
CLEAR STORAGE
SIMLOCK
HBOOT USB

If i select RECOVERY it starts rebooting then shuts off and a little light in the top left of the speaker on the front starts blinking and i cannot do anything unless i pull the battery....

Every once in a while i can manage to get it to go into Clockwork Mod Recovery if i keep trying, but if i try to do anything in the recovery, it reboots and goes back to the blinking light and i have to pull the battery...

I am tech savy and regret ever letting anyone but myself do this, i have just been super busy with my work i have not had the time to sit down and do it... SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!

This why I would always recommend that you would always do the rooting.... never rely on someone else.

Anyways......... It looks somehow you lost root. You have two options...... You can reroot with unrevoked or you can take the updates to software version 4.67. I'm on the phone right now but at the top shouldof this forum should be a root guide with links to the actual rooting guides.

The link than Ocn mentioned is posted below. From what you posted you have H-Boot 2.10 and will use option 3 at the top of the guide.

Please make sure you read through the instructions carefully and be sure to ask if you have any questions.

Attempting this right now, anyone able to teamviewer with me or anything and watch to make sure i don't screw up? or facebook message me or something? lol

Ah gotcha...
o.k....personally, I would do this.
I'll provide a link for an ruu that can be installed via the bootloader.
This will at least get your device up and running and you can either root after that or do it later on. :)

A couple questions first:
1. do you have an sd card installed.
2. What size is the sd card.
3. do you have a card reader?

And now i am stuck. I am at this step in the root process...

STEP 3: Fastboot
After you have completed the installation of the drivers, UNPLUG the device from the Micro USB part of the cord to the phone.
- Press VOL DOWN toggle to select FASTBOOT then select REBOOT. This will restart your device into its usual operating manner with HTC EVO 4G then SPRINT then completely ON.

When i hit reboot, it takes me back to the screen i described above.

Code:
SUPERSONIC EVT3 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-2.10.0001
MICROP-041f
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac

4gb micro sd, with a regular sd adapter, and an sd card slot in my laptop.

Yup :) It might surprise you, but I am a computer programmer, but new to android development......
Cool!! that will make this a little easier:)

Make sure the md5 of the download matches...
Then, rename that file to PC36img.zip
Name it exactly that. No extra ".zip" at the end.
Then power down the phone.
Pull the sd card and put it on the root of the card...not in any folder.

Dont power on the phone yet, just let me know after you do those steps :)

ok Will do! Super slow download speed on this network sadly.... it's at 27/213 mb.....

No worries..I"ll be back in a few...dinner time :D

Anyways, after those steps, obviously put the card back into the device and boot into bootloader.
Let it do its thing.
Bootloader will see that file and ask you if you want to update.
Select yes.
Wait for it to do its thing.

Reboot and profit:)

I'll be right back...

Understood! It's 1/4 of the way done now. Will give you an update when it's complete!

OH MY GOD..... It was at 183 mb done and my connection dropped!!!!!! Starting it over now... Hope it goes faster this time, i changed a few things on the network and shut down my FTP server.

Good Job Mike  I was following Ocn and just went from there.

Ooo that sucks :(
and I don't even know what FTP server means :p

I'm back now...obviously.

FTP = File Transfer Protocol

It's a server where files are stored and can be easily accessed from anywhere with internet, given you have the proper credentials.

I don't wanna derail your thread totally, but I figured since you were waiting for your download.....:o

FTP= something like MediaFire, or Copy.com/dropbox?
