Unofficial Incredible Wallpaper Thread

Thanks to everyone for posting their phone screens. What an incredible (oops, did I say that!) variety of looks. They give me inspiration to give this a try. For many of you, I'm probably old enough to be your mother (maybe even grandmother), so be gentle. Can you point me in the direction of a tutorial of sorts for customizing a phone? I'm someone who has never texted, let alone played with wallpapers and widgets. I look forward to learning, but I'm overwhelmed right now. FedEx hasn't even delivered my phone...should be any minute by my calculations. I'm eager to get started but don't know what to do first. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

The phone comes with a quick start guide that explains the basic controls and it pretty much directs you through the setup. To be honest though, I believe the best way to learn how to really use and customize your phone is through trial and error.

If you are really inclined to have some info before receiving your phone, I would suggest looking up informational videos on Youtube.

Yes I believe that was part of it. I don't know if there was one giant picture which was split up or several smaller ones. Where did you find it? Thanks for finding it.

Thanks to Brandonhutch for putting me on the track I was able to find the pic I was remembering (poorly). So here it is all blown up.

Re-sized to 480x800.

Gotta give props to twynn373. he created it, I just moved "android" to fit around the eris lockbar

P.S: you can't even see that ugly brownish spot left over from photoshop when it's on the lock screen

Thanks for your responses. My phone just came and it's charging now. I'll just follow the quick start guide for now and tinker my way through things. I can't wait to get started.

Just got my Incredible... it's bleeding fantastic! It seems however, that the size of the wallpaper needs to be less than 960x800. I've downloaded one of my wallpapers to the phone that is sized 960x800 and it requires cropping to be set as a background. We'll have to sort this out...

EDIT: dibs ODDJOB explained it below - I just wasn't working with the crop box correctly 960x800 works great... Sorry for the confusion!

I downloaded this pic on my Incredible but when I go to set as wallpaper I can only increase the box a little bit. I can't get the entire picture as the wallpaper. Any help?

The wallpaper screen size may not be what we all thought. I'll have my phone tomorrow so I'll mess around with it then. Unless somebody else wants to.
