Root First compcache rom?

??? Features : Most languages:confused:

may i ask, what language of this ROM support? did it include Chinese ?
If this ROM can, I am planing to get one Galaxy an try Galaxo when it release.:D

So I put in an old 2GB microSD and created a linux swap partition on it (about 200mb). I don't know if its in my head, but it seems even faster opening lots of apps.

Code:
# free
              total used free shared buffers
  Mem: 95948 86076 9872 0 468

kam: Do you have a spare handset? I'd love to hack my phone to the extent you are doing here (anything for more speed!) but it's highly likely I'd be without a usable phone for large slabs of time. :)

When you say this ROM seems faster.. do you mean faster than other hacked roms or stock I5? I'm running vanilla I5 so want to know how it compares?

Don't suppose anyone can point me in the direction of a download of the I5 firmware?

I saw it on the forums somewhere, but can't find it. My search-fu has failed me.

Cheers!

Hmm not the best price but amazon are fast delivery. I'm really debating, but the battery doesnt last long enough for music, and I hate the headphones that come with the samsung....

Maybe its time to cut up my iphone headphones :P

i get a good 3 hrs of music per day 2 days running out of my phone if im just using it for general phone and music.

that price isnt bad considering free delivery. everywhere else i looked were chaging a few pounds so it came to the same price

Ahh.. maybe i'll get one then :)

well i got it for a few reasons, music and also for a decent swap partision for the new rom.

i know its supposed to be fast with the internal space but class 6 is the fastest flash mem out there so swaps have to be better tested on this

well see anyways

(you're quick on the reply tonight kam)

If you have another card to compare against, it'd be helpful to know if the speed of the card is noticeable.

I am in the market for a 16gb card (as this phone is an upgrade/merger of phone and my ancient Rio Karma thats active but mostly dead buttons), as I need at least that space for my music.

As Rastaman-FB said, music and basic phone use seem to be fine on the phone (compared to 3G/internet browsing/case button press), but as I may end up updating the phone w/compcache, I'd like to know whether to spend the extra on the fastest card or if a lower spec is ok and go for size (32gb would be handy).

P.S. My case, with the small inner seam cut has done wonders for battery life.

You don't need to use SD swap for compcache, so dont feel like you need to go out and get a card especially. Using SD swap just means it'll close less apps and just swap them to SD instead.

KAM im getting this when trying to flash to new 4.1 recovery
c:\android-sdk-windows-1.5_r3\tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (2966 KB)... FAILED (data transfer failure (Too many links))

c:\android-sdk-windows-1.5_r3\tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (2966 KB)... FAILED (command write failed (Unknown error))

c:\android-sdk-windows-1.5_r3\tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (2966 KB)... FAILED (command write failed (Unknown error))

c:\android-sdk-windows-1.5_r3\tools>

EDIT:
lol would you believe its the new cable that fastboot/adb does not like?
worked with original cable

Wow that's wierd. Maybe its not shielded well or something. I need to get 3 or 4 more cables too. Anyone out there found one that works ok?
