Unofficial Incredible Wallpaper Thread

I believe the resolution of 960x800 is still correct.

When you pick a photo from your phone, the green crop box will show over 80% of your photo. Put your finger on the edge of the green square and arrows should appear. Pull the arrows to the edge of the photo. This should allow you to use the WHOLE picture, provided it is the correct aspect ratio of 1.2:1 (960:800).

Now that I think the resolution problem is solved, here are a couple of my own wallpapers (960x800). These are photos I took on a recent trip to San Francisco, an awesome city.

I'm a wanna be amateur photographer, so I love apps that automatically change my wallpapers.

Don't worry, I did the same thing. Even resized photos to 768x640. Got the same box. Even moved the box around before I realized you could resize it. :rolleyes:
 
Does anyone know if we currently or in the future can add our own live wallpaper?

you could take 5 diff pics and put them side by side so you have one pic that you see a diff part of on each screen

All I did was resize + sharpen the image a bit, if you want something different or more tweaking (not sure if the entire 'HTC' will fit on a screen or look the way you want) just let me know and I will see what I can do.

This is probably not the best way to do a different lock screen wallpaper for everybody, but the app Lockbot lets you customize the style and photo you use for the lock screen.

Is that an app from the market? Why do you say not the best way? Is there a problem/difficulty in using it?

That does look pretty good, though I was hoping to maintain the original clarity, and size of the HTC, but just get the image "larger". It has to be one of my favorite backgrounds. I like to keep it fairly simple. It looks sort of dark, sort of gritty, but still looks very sexy. I am no Photoshop ace, though. I'll gladly take the best that is offered. =)

Yes, it is an app from the market, with free and pro versions.

I said it's not the bet because there may possibly be some bugginess in it, although I haven't really seen it. And also it adds a bunch of screen lock features that you may not need, but you don't have to use them. If all you want to do is change the screen lock background, there may be other apps out there.

But this one works for me.
 
could someone resize this for me? i have it on now and it looks ok, just don't get the full board even when scrolling.

Has anyone seen a red matrix looking live wallpaper similar to the one in the Verizon commercial for the Incredible? I'd LOVE something like that.

^^^ OK This is a great wallpaper. When I view it using the "photos" application and click on it, it PERFECTLY fills my entire screen and looks phenomenal.

I still can NOT get it to select the entire photo. I get a nasty zoomed in wallpaper, even though, as i stated before when viewing in full in photos it looks perfect.....

Can someone else try this out and let me know what I am missing?
