here's my repost from the m8 section... they don't understand my vzw question:
ok.. let's say I breakdown and buy this thing. I am a grandfathered ulimited customer. Is there wireless tether? If so, is it detectable to vzw? Ty in advance.
It sucks it's gotta work that way. Haven't flashed a ROM in a long time, and with custom ones, you can generally just DL and flash away. This is the second OTA on my Moto G I've taken since ~December. Pretty incredible if I may say so myself.
Wife's Moto X on Verizon still has no update. Hopefully soon (since 4.4.2 came to it before the other carriers, shockingly).
You had me worried when I got my new truck that my X wouldn't connect correctly as I was on 4.4.2. It connected no problem, synced my contacts and call lists, and even reads me my text messages (well, it give an bad yet entertaining attempt at it)
Bought a new conversion van today to replace the wrecked one. Gorgeous ride. Paid more than I wanted to, but how often do you find a loaded 2002 conversion van with fewer than 52,000 miles on the clock? With an extended warranty??? I about couldn't afford NOT to buy it.
Feeling better every day. Back allows more freedom of motion each day: I'm probably at 90% now, with just a little tenderness and some spasms if I do just a few things wrong. Taking it easy but very close to full recovery. Looking at the wreckage, I thank GOD I'm not more hurt than I was.
Google I/O in 2 weeks and IFA in less than 3 months! Hopefully a Note 4 in four months! Time to gear up for some geek-ness!
Yeah Halon, Thursday my beautiful precious conversion van occupied the same space at the same time as another vehicle. Not a good scenario, and the outcome was even uglier. Off to the ER on a backboard.
X-rays found no spine fractures (thank GOD), just a severe sprain in the lumbar area. Couple of cuts on my left pinky. And that was all! Here I am, 4 days later, at about 90% recovered and able to walk, move, bend, stoop as usual - with very few limits on range of motion.
Yeah, I'm still a little sore. One totaled conversion van is a heart-breaker. But the van did exactly what it was designed to do: take the full force of impact and protect ME. And I thank GMC (and Southern Comfort Conversions) for having designed such a gorgeous ride while making it that safe.
Well, it was a 97 van; of course, conversion vans are totally off the actuarial tables, so I'm ready for a showdown. The new van is an 02 version and paid for: so whatever we get for the last one goes right in the bank to replenish funds.
I thought about a smaller, more efficient vehicle... but I would probably be in very bad shape had I gone through a similar collision in an SUV or car. Nope, I'm sold out on conversion vans!
Interesting weekend. Not to be controversial, and this is just one guys opinion, but I think Im getting interested in studying the Bible.
My wife has studied the last two years or so, and has made a lot of changes I never thought shed make. This past weekend she dragged me to a Jehovahs Witness convention; I thought I would hate it and just ridicule them, but I was pleasantly surprised. Dont think I will be knocking on doors, but a lot of it made sense when I looked at it objectively. Very, very unexpected for me. Never thought Id EVER be interested in the Bible. Hmm.
I'm starting to think that all these "bible haters" or smug skeptics maybe have never actually studied it?
