Root root cricket zte grand x max

So does anyone have step by step instructions for some n00b like me? I have the stock downloaded but would rather have unlocked.

Also can anyone with the stock upgrade tell me if USB or WiFi tether works?

WiFi tether I got it working with an app when I was on kitkat before I root and after I rooted I went to lollipop still I was using another app that doesn't need root and it works great aa WiFi tethering.

Are you on kitkat or lollipop?

Odd behavior - if you're on Lollipop you might have noticed that the "Crick" on the notification pull down at the bottom is cutoff.

Fix: from GravityBox go into Navigation bar tweaks and change the Navigation bar height to 88%.

I haven't notice that I'll check it out

Question, does anyone know of a dark theme for settings? Flashable and or app? White background kills me!! Couldn't find anything in xposed

Have you tried gravity box its aslo really cool I have change my battery icon to give it the exact number of battery as percentage also I was able to move the clock right on the middle. What I really like to do is use pie control and remove the navigation then use immersive me to hide status bar and have the full screen to use.

Yes I have that, it is super cool. I want to explore as many exposed modules as I can

What is the status of getting full r/w on this phone? Is it possible to do so without having to boot into recovery?

As far as I know, it's still temp root with script.
The zips are almost done I'm working with masterchief87 he's working on the I'm testing them the zips change the order of how the phone boot it you boot up regularly its going to boot to recovery without rw if you boot like it was on recovery it boots the phone up with read and write

Yeah, he's had that for quite awhile now. It's very clever, but very dangerous. I don't feel comfortable with it myself, but I do think it's great that we have THAT working.

I want full r/w....

Well its really good because because with the scrip we loose twrp but with this zips we always have twrp and to get it back we just have to flash the other zip and everything is working fine and we can always boot to recovery if something happens

yeah, when it works it's great. when you screw up a little bit you've bricked your phone hopelessly with no fallback of any kind whatsoever. I won't use it myself.

Also using the scrip it self is a big risk with no twrp but rather way we could used the zip and when what we need with out needing to do the scrip everyboot onces done we can use the other zips to get the recovery and the boot to normal. We don't always need r/w enable
