The Reset Tests are designed to assist the technician by providing and quick and easy method to "Reset" the processor(s) in a module or system. The Reset Test is the [system] equivalent of a personal computer's "Control-Alternate-Delete" key sequence used to perform a soft-boot of the microprocessor.

Never seen it spelled out like that; almost didn't know what they meant.

How many of you guys remember the reset button on the front of your computer? Even better, who knows about the "nuclear button" and what system carried that?

I actually remember the Reset button on computers...I even had a Packard Bell computer in the '90's that had a reset button

I have to say though, I don't remember any Nuclear Button
 
I just use email, text, occasionally twitter and/or tumbler to share pictures. I've even been known to mail off a letter (hand written and all) with a stack of pictures for family.
(For you kids, there's a box on my house and others out in the world, where I can drop an envelope with writing on paper in it (and printed out pictures) and the United States Postal Service will deliver the envelope where ever I have addressed it - providing I put the proper postage on it.) If you're confused you can do a google search for USPS.

All kidding aside, I just really hate facebook, and the instagram and all that. Time sucking voids of unproductivity.
 
I was actually trying to get some stuff off my old hard drive, the PC it was in had a reset button.
I remember my first computer my parents got me for Christmas one year when I was little (built it themselves and for me and my little sister to share) I found a "Nuclear Switch". I was arguing with my mum that it did have a volume control on the actual PC box, like an older computer we used to have had, I fiddled around, found a switch, blew it up. That was day two of having it :(
The parents said I came in white as a ghost with worry and shock :D
 
Of course the true purpose of Twitter is to allow companies some free advertising and to push relevant products at you.
As if anyone would have the slightest interest in my training routines, and whether I broke 20 minutes for the 5k, and.. and.. zzzzzzzzzz.
 
With regards to the social media I completely agree, it is a good thing at the end of the day but everyone (myself included) gets too engrossed in it, when out socialising with actual people in real life people have their phones out talking to someone (or just nosing through someone's profile). but I will say it is all good to keep up to date with current affairs and share life with people you perhaps don't get to see as much as you would like to as stated somewhere above.

I have 2 legacy boxes running XP offline. One is for crafting, the other for Photoshop and Illustrator and dual booted with Linux Mint which is the main drive.
Both still have A drives. They both have reset buttons.

In fact, one started as a 286 with DOS and it's just been upgraded as needed. No one shot does all.

I haven't played with a desktop motherboard in a while, but all the ones I have played with have had pins for rest on the header...

I have some four desktop machines collecting dust in castle dngrs at the moment.
 
I love social media. I spent a couple years living on the other side of the globe. Made a ton of friends and social media lets me keep in touch with them.
 
In a side note.. Bummed about Glenn Frey .. He grew up around here.. Heard he was a real stand up guy.. He came back with the Eagles and played at his old high school prom! My dad was there.. Wouldn't that have been awesome? I think it was a surprise. But not sure..either way.. How cool!:)
 
I live in an old house and it's man against mouse every winter. I have found this mouse trap to be the most effective and easy to set.

Peanut butter is the preferred bait. Disposal via the toilet works for me. Interesting facts: Once a trap has killed a mouse, it will be the best trap no matter where it's placed. Something about the death smell on it I assume. Second fact... If you release a live mouse in the toilet it will always swim against the current until it's history. :) I hate mice and being humane doesn't enter into my disposal of them.
They are quite filthy and very destructive.

Oh wise one, can you provide details on your preferred method of their demise? (Who what where?)
 
Though I've purchased the traps locally, I see they are available at Amazon. There is a cup to place the bait that is below the platform a mouse must stand on to access the peanut butter. They work like a charm. The hoop with the yellow plastic wrap is the killing tool and the other hoop is the setting and releasing arm. They move as one.

Setting the trap is easy. You don't have to touch the kill bar to set and there is no threat to your fingers.
Placing traps along an area where mice are known to travel is best. The darker or out of sight the placing the better. If you have mice... this will catch them.

Ridding a place of mice is more than catching them. The most important step is finding where they have breached your dwelling. Steel wool works great for stopping up holes and mice will not chew it.
They will continue to be a problem until you stop them from getting in.

If all fails, call Billy the exterminator. :D

I like the traps, but do they handle your bigger than average mouse? I don't know what species we have in the loft, but I do know they are pretty big rodents. Obviously built themselves a home gym up there :)
