what everyones opinion on best rom out right now

for you it has to meet your standards,such as speed,reliability and battery life
 
For me I use CM cause the features are second to none but I hear BB is blazing fast. I just cant give up my volume rocker changing songs feature though :(

Fast, stable, based on the latest BB ROM. It is also a big plus to have Fab respond to any issues within this forum.

I love this ROM. BB is amazingly fast and the alterations that Fab made to it when he created NexBeast took nothing away from it. And, as the above person staed, Fab will almost always personally respond to questions or concerns regarding his ROM.

Cyanogen for features, but I'm enjoy BB1 right now.

I'm not a big fan of NexBeast's theme. I'd love to have the tweaks in a different theme.

I guess I could install MM, but I'm so damn lazy (and yet, I'll flash the newest and greatest).
 
toss up right now for me between BBv1 and CM. i am back on CM right now and loving it all over again.
 
Honestly who cares. Doesn't matter which one you go to someone will always be there telling you that what ROM your currently on is stolen from someone else and that something else is better. Choose one and go with it. I've used NexBeast and it works, I've used BB 0.9 and 1.0, I've used Cyanogen, and I've used Ultimate Droid. IMO Ultimate Droid has the beast appearance and best features that it comes with. Cyanogen comes with too much crap and slows it down, but it has the best themes out there for it.

BB and Nexbeast are great roms but the lack of APP2SD is just, well, disappointing. You wouldn't think that would be a big deal but having the ability to save all your apps to your SD card and then restore them with out having to download them as soon as you change roms is so damn nice.
 
Bugless Beast V1 might be a little faster, but CyanogenMod 5.0.6.2 has been more robust for me and is full of amazing features, making it my ROM of choice.

The funny thing is I knew you were going to say UD just by reading the part where you said everyone will tell you who it is currently stolen from. UD is the only developer that kangs other peoples hard work. That was the only path you could've taken after an opening statement like that.

But I am glad you like UD... it is always nice to see more people around here who enjoy Cyanogens hard work.
 
Cyanogenmod no question for me. I try others when they come out but always end up back at CM. For me its the fastest and most stable rom out there and it has the most features.

Look I'm all for giving credit where credit is due. And I think its pretty apparent that after two public apology letters addressed directly to Cyanogen from Black Droid and giving credit on this next release and fixing his questionable release that was currently out to say thanks to Cyanogen, it showed that he was apologetic. The fact that people keep dragging it on and dragging it on is just childish. For gods sake get over it already.

Plain and simple all of this code that they are all writing their ROMs for is based off of something Google created. Do I see a single one of the creators giving credit to them for that? No not at all.

So this whole Kang thing or what ever the **** its called is just pointless.

This whole crap is point less. So Black droid used some code from cyanogen, as I'm sure that pete has used code from black droid, and I'm sure that Fabulous has used code from Pete, and Pete has used code from Cyanogen. All in all it all comes back to the same thing. Your just re-writing an OS that was created by Google. So Congratulations Google on making something we all like.

My point still stands. Choose one ROM you like and stick with it. Because no matter what you choose people like yourself will be there to tell you, your making the wrong choice.

And for the record, I don't like Cyanogens work, I think he's way to childish and immature. I prefer the work that he stole from Google.

I'm really not trying to bust your chops but you can't contradict yourself THAT bad!
 
im running the new ultimate droid "new era" rom, it is the fastest rom i have ran becaus it is based of BB but it has features like using the volume rocker to change songs, its epic in my opinion

edit: i know this is from cyanogen and BB
 
I'd say BB because I care about speed more than the added features of CM. CM is nice too though. Everything else is pretty much modified copies of the two.

The difference is Fabulous' NexBeast and UD ROMs is that Fabulous directly says that his ROM is Bugless Beast.

"-automatic godmode (blackdroid)" whoopie... Who made the godmode script or any of the other scripts in UD ROM. No credit anywhere. ...so they did? ...please.

Granted I don't have a clue how to do any of that, I still can't resign an .apk. But I'm sure can learn if I put effort into it. But then mine would be basically just a modified version of BB like NexBeast. I wouldn't have any donate to me buttons it would be a Donate to Pete button.

Use what ever you want, I don't care. But IMO UD should have donate links to Cyanogen/Koush and Pete, cause without them they'd be nothing.
 
I can't recommend any particular ROM, as the only way to find out is to try them and decide which one YOU like. I've tried many, and appreciate all the dev's work on them, but to be honest not one single ROM has everything I want working together..correctly, which is what I am looking for. It is all about personal preference and a bit of compromise.

EDIT: That sounds a bit strong. There are of course some very good ROMS out there to choose from and the amount of work the dev's have put into them definitely warrants a big Thanks:)

As for the UD/BD war.. all I can say is it gets old. The truth is out, most everyone that matters knows who did what..so the point is moot.:rolleyes:

Let's see if I can follow this...

UD steals ALL of Cyanogens ROM. The MD5 numbers even match.

Cyanogen only wanted credit, but UD was still swearing to everyone that the work was ALL his, and none of it was borrowed. (This is what kanged means, FYI. )

UD finally apologized and admitted he was using Cyanogens work.

UD now credits cyanogen for his work

Supr thinks cyanogen is childish because he just wanted to see his name next to literally YEARS of his work which someone else was claiming was theirs.

Supr uses and loves UD

Supr hates cyanogens work.


Anyone have a seatbelt I can borrow so I can finish browsing the forum without falling out of my chair from laughter? I think I might be able to get it back under control in a few hours. I'll mail it back, I promise. In the meantime, I think I need to move on. I can't afford any kind of surgery after parts of my body start to break down from laughing so hard.
 
Fadelight...you forgot the part where BD claims that Pete stole work from him...even AFTER the Cyanogen shit storm he caught! UD stands for Ultimate Dumbass! :D
 
In case anyone was wondering... the Thanks by me for supr's post is not intended to agree with bashing any particular Dev.. As I stated earlier the "war" should be over as the obvious truth is out.
