Superfan until I heard this and on top of it all had to read all of Jackson's bullshit about it having more memory and coming out a certain day...Don't believe the hype son...Keep drinking Hesse's line of bullshit..."There will be no extra charge for 4g service."

Well it's not only $10 for me. I have a 4 line family plan. So for me it's $40 per month extra. I'm just not willing to do that. T-Mobile HSPA+ is faster than Sprint Wimax, has a larger coverage area, and doesn't cost any extra on T-Mobile's plan (which don't require a contract).
I just need T-Mobile to announce a phone I want. The Nexus One (which they were the first carrier to get) just doesn't do it for me.

This might be extremely wishful thinking on my part, but they didn't mention the family plans in the announcement, or any type of language that would allow us to definitively determine that the $10 charge is per EVO and not per plan.
There might still be hope that my proposed 5-line 5-EVO plan is only going up by $10 (and not $50), or else my siblings might stay with AT&T and Verizon..

HSPDA+ Coverage area is not larger than WiMax, it's about the same.
HSDPA+ also is more vunerable to network congestion, slowing it down. I'm in chicago, a HSDPA+ covered area, and on a family members HD2 the peak I've seen is 1.5mbps, which ironically I just tested. And all four of your lines are going to get the eVo? And since when does TMobile not require a contract? Really?
I'm disappointed as well. for me it would be $20 more per month that I would have to pay on sprint. I was willing to pay $10, but not $20. now I'm hoping that the mini 5 actually comes to tmo. I know its bigger, but I rarely use my phone for calls so the size won't matter to me.

You do realize the Evo is still cheaper than any other phone alternative out there, right? I mean its cute that you want to take a stand, but you'll get bent over just as bad getting the Galaxy on AT&T. Mine as well go with what you'd really want.
There isnt a charge for 4g the charge is for the phone only.
I wouldnt be surprised is the charge 10$ for all high end phones coming out!

Research all the facts and you'll see just about everything in that post is false. But I suspect that deep down you already knew it was a bunch of bull.
Nexus One and HD2 are not less powerful devices. And you can get both of them subsidized if you want, or pay full retail and pay less per month. And the network is not inferior. It's actually a much more powerful network, with a more rapidly expanding coverage area.

Maybe you should research the facts instead.
1.) On the even more plus plans it even says you pay more upfront for the phone for not having a contract.
2.) What android phone does tmobile have that can come close to the evo?
3.)you definately get more with the sprint plan vs that plan. (Check the websites)
4.)the costs are the same for an "evo plan" and that 79.99 tmo plan.
5.) Cdma > gsm. That's for another thread, and I actually posted the reasons for it in another thread somewhere on here. But rest assured, cdma is superior to gsm. That's why the gsm carriers are using newer variants of cdma/w-cdma in the future, and some even currently.
So can you please point out what I said wasn't true?

#1: You don't have to pay more upfront for the phone. T-Mobile will break the cost up into 20 interest free payments. You still pay the lower plan cost and there is still no contract (just pay the phone off if you leave). Once the phone is paid off, you still have the lower rates on your plan.
#2: T-Mobile has the Nexus One. They also have the HD2, which is a WinMo phone with the exact same hardware as the Evo. Both are made by HTC, the same company that makes the Evo.
#3: You don't get any more with Sprint, lol. I have checked the websites. Yeah, you get Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, Sprint Radio- who is going to use any of those on a next gen Android phone anyway? None of them are better than the free alternatives that Android has.
#4: Wow, so you found a T-Mobile plan that costs as much as a Sprint Evo plan, nice job. There are still several T-Mobile plans that are cheaper.
#5: You clearly have no idea what you are talking about, lol. GSM is vastly superior to CDMA, which is why it is used everywhere (even here) while CDMA is NOT used everywhere. And I can give you some examples- simultaneous voice and data, connference in from call waiting without hanging up on the person you are talking to, conference in more people on a conference call (6 on a GSM Touch Pro 2), easily swap a SIM card into your next phone without worrying about an activation fee/calling the carrier/etc, contacts can be stored on SIM card so they can easily be exchanged. And your whole WCDMA stratement just shows me that you have no idea what you are talking about. WCDMA is also called UMTS, which is commonly referred to as "3G" and it's in use by pretty much every GSM carrier. It is NOT the same thing as CDMA.
#6: Class dismissed indeed. Get your research done before you reply because I'm not interested in some baseless rant. I only want the facts. And I would absolutely include the Nexus One on T-Mobile's lineup. You can buy it either with a subsidy, or without a subsidy, and use it on any of T-Mobile's plans.

they run your credit and they either offer you a contract deal or a non contract deal. if you get offered the non contract deal for bad credit you will not be allowed to finance the phone.
p.s. tmobile sucks really bad.

Totally false. T-Mobile's Even More + (EM+) plans do NOT have contracts, and anyone can sign up for them. It asks you right on the T-Mobile website which plan you prefer whenever you select a phone.
And you can ONLY finance the phones on the non contract plans, so you are just way off...

Get real man. I am weighing my options, and that is what this thread is about. Alternative viewpoints aren't welcome, even if they are proven facts? LOL, whatever man.
I just checked T-Mobile's website again, by the way. Yes, anyone can sign up for an EM+ plan, no, those plans don't require contracts, and yes, you can get your phone broken up into interest free payments on that plan.
