Random Thought Thread

I just picked up a Zip 100 drive for $5 at the Restore. I still have a couple of disks: the Tools disk works fine, the other disk didn't. I think I may still have a third one somewhere that I have to find. I already have a Zip 100 parallel, but you know how hard it is to find a computer with a parallel port anymore, and the one I picked up is a USB-driven one, so less space taken up, I can ditch the brick, and it was literally plug-and-play with Win 10 on my laptop.

I bet that portable CD player just runs on available anywhere AA batteries. And as long as there's CDs around, can see no reason why it shouldn't go on playing for another 20-30 years. :D

These came with a new textbook last week.

Had to use my 8 year old white MacBook to play and rip them, which still works OK, but its battery is long kaput though, and was discarded and not replaced.
Honestly, I was surprised to find that all of the new laptops that were ordered at work didn't have a CD Drive.

Thinking about getting a new phone, any thoughts on me getting a Samsung Galaxy Note 7?

I have many, many thoughts about the many, many things I think about. As luck would have it, I am going to be in your neck of the woods hosting a FREE, yes FREE, seminar on how to think these thoughts. Normally this session would run in the thousands. But, I am going to reveal my secret, FREE, yes FREE of charge, to a select few. Don't wait. Call today.

The old cartoon I saw was "Bill Gates in Hell." He was tied to a chair while the stupid rotating hourglass from years ago spun around.

Maybe some cartoonist can have fun with the "no earphone jack" and Tim Cook.
