Root ZTE ZMAX Pro (Z981) root discussion

So far I don't notice any difference. In signal strength speed smoothness etc. I was on B08. Now B12. It gave me video calling and update from storage option in settings

Your probably referring to linux terminal & shell commands. Most likely they also require the Android SDK, and NDK to run native C & C++ code. That code has to be tailored to the device and compiled. If you don't understand what your looking at, you definitely shouldn't even attempt trying it. Even people who understand and know how to use these tools end up with bricks at this level.

You or anyone else should feel free to DM me a link to what you've found. I've probably already tried it but if not, I will. Either way I will let you know.

DMed you maybe you and messi or any developer here will know what to do with those.
 
So here's where I'm at with this phone. No root I got half my s4 with twice the screen. Can anyone get a wifi Mac changer and ram partition no root??

Definitely. Half the ways to get bootloader require root anyway and we'd still have to compile one for our machines. Get root first, all else flows from that:)
 
I believe what Messi's point is the concept of a custom, unlocked bootloader is intriguing him, the only way to root rn is through him or putting pressure on ZTE, metro or KingRoot. Another thing, the axon 7 mini has the same specs as the ZMax it the unlock tool that is used on the Axon 7 works for the mini perhaps a mod for the tool could allow it to support the ZMax
 
So let's put pressure on zte for the info we want seems like the quickest route. I don't think we are going to have any luck modding the update and u probably all know what compitition we are up against with king root besides I don't think king root supports any android 6.0 yet

I was thinking that with modding the.exe in the ADB root for lg g4

It does on the Nexus.. it's just harder for some devices. I just noticed that it's now trying a 1 step process that fails at 24% after every try to retry..
