The stereotype may have been true once, but these days more people drink coffee than tea.don't you guys drink mostly tea over there?
(Anecdotally I see some regional variation, but have never tried to establish whether it's statistically significant).
What about Crumpets? Are they still a popular UK bread?

I went to breakfast with a woman who sent her toast back because it wasn't buttered to the edge. I thought that was crazy 🤣
When I was a kid, we had to butter our own toast uphill in the snow.
They are still available. Not sure how many people have them regularly, but clearly enough people buy them for them still to be sold. I suspect they may be one of those things that a few people have regularly and most only very occasionally.
Grits... nobody mentioned grits. I guess I'm the only lover of grits. My favorite breakfast is bacon and over easy eggs served with buttered multi grain toast and a good cup of coffee.
Yes Sir! And if some of my soft yolk gets mixed up in my grits.. I'll just make do.
I've never used the instant grits. I grew up on long cook grits and have never gotten out of that groove. How are the instant compared to the traditional long cook grits?
Not quite as good as regular grits, like my mother would make, but they are okay
Thanks, I'll give them a try. I did not pass along my love of grits to my four children and couldn't tempt my wife of trying them. I've been the lone consumer in my home for fifty years. Instant would work better for me being as I'm the only eater and often crave a serving with my dinner. I love me some cheese grits with Cajon seasoning.

My wife watches a lot of cooking shows. Shrimp & Grits come up a lot. I never thought of putting those two together.
They taste better than you would think.
I'm not a big fan of shrimp but that does sound interesting.

Top number is Grand get your lower number down to about 65.Dry toast, a bowl of oatmeal and a glass of water. This has been my favorite breakfast for years. And, it's part of the reason that my blood pressure is 110 over 78 at 50 years of age
