Thanks Fab for the great work and Pete of course. Well I was coming from NB1.01 and decided, what the heck I'll do a complete wipe, wipe, wipe and start all over. Everything went fine and now am running NB1.1 with no issues. One thing is happening that I'm enjoying and a little surprised is my apps are slowly but surely downloading themselves into my phone/drawer. My phone is a little hotter then normal, but I'm sure it's cause of the all the downloading going on in the background. So I am a very happy camper I didn't have to download all those apps one by one.

I've had only one small issue so far with this newest version, but I'm not so sure it's related to the ROM. My contacts aren't syncing correctly. To be specific, the pictures associated with some contacts don't appear. Not for all of them, just some of them. I've synced and re-synced (is that a word?) but nothing seems to work. Many of my contacts are also Facebook friends and the picture associated with them is their FB profile pic. So I'm wondering if this is a Facebook issue (the app didn't work at all yesterday for many people).
Any thoughts?

I've had the same problem for ages... It isn't ROM specific and I think it is a problem with the actual FB app for Android. Some of the contact pictures from FB just will not sync up...

I had a feeling that might be it. Sadly I have a few friends/family with the exact same name and it was their contact picture that helped me figure out which one was calling (I stopped memorizing phone numbers when I got my first cell phone in 1999). Guess I'll have to get more creative with call screening.

Titaniac, it's no longer necessary to modify the Pete script, because Pete modded it to ensure that it doesn't interfere with the operation of SetCPU. So, although you don't HAVE to use SetCPU, you certainly can if you wish with no worries.

I need help! I installed the nexbeast rom with the 1.3ghz LV kernel and after it was done backing up and installing it was rebooting and it went to a black screen. I installed it the way you did in your overclocking video. Im a noob at most of this stuff, please help me fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Your Droid can't handle the 1.3 ghz kernel - scale it back - maybe try the 1.1 or the 1.0

I might have screwed up the pete script now and probably need some help from the pro's because i am not familiar with android file extensions... sequence of events:
1. Loaded nexbeast 1.1
2. Wanted to use setcpu so i looked at petes script and it looked exactly like the previous 1 that we made changes to.
3. Made the same changes to petes script as the last time.
4. Saved the old script as Pete.Bak. at this point I had the modded Pete script and the original one saved as Pete.bak
5. Discovered pete had modded the script to be compatible with setcpu.
6. Renamed pete.bak to Pete. At this point i had 2 files with the same name: Pete
7. I knew that my modified version was only 800b and the original was 1150b. I deleted the modified version which left me with one Pete file of 1150 bytes.
My issue is how do i know that the rom is using the pete script? Did the pete script have a hidden extension?

Titaniac, is the 800Mhz kernel you're using one of Pete's approved kernels from the OP? If so, just install the kernel again, because it will install the correct pete file for that kernel.

Actually, I'm using a P3 kernel. However, I will just install a bekit kernel and it'll reinstall. Thanks!

Hey Fab have you zipaligned your Droid? Kinda scared to do it cause I dont know much about it. I mean I know it saves Ram but when Pete says be careful it kinda spooked me LOL.

Yeah, if you want to run it, you should run it from recovery. Also, be sure to mount system first.
then, it's just
/system/xbin/zipalign_apks
You should be alright doing it (might want to make a nandroid first, just in case)
Hrm, curious. I have no problems with my 64-bit Ultimate
I do have the oldest possible phone drivers installed though, if that makes a difference.

Flashed the ROM last night and so far its been flawless. My only question at this point is the Google Search Bar suppose to be themed? I apologize if this has been asked before but I didn't read all 20 pages in the post. Great work Fab, your remixed ROM's have become my favorite...keep it up!

One thing, though, and I've tried to mark everything read but can't find the "mark all read," but I have a (1) next to the inbox in gmail. Can anyone help?

Heads up!!! ADW Launcher has a new release version (0.7.2 Standalone) available in the market. It has some new cool settings, bug fixes and is running great. Come on Fab, it has been out almost 10 minutes and you haven't themed it yet

I'm not sure what you did, Fabo, but in v1.1, Diag mode has been fixed and I can use it again. I had to flash a PRL to my droid today and had no problems today doing it. Props to yourself and Pete for the update.

haven't had a problem until today, when i installed the updated ADW launcher, and removed other two launchers, per instructions. following this Apps Organizer will not work, it doesn't put the folder icons on home screen (or any screen), I hit "add to home" from app and nothing happens. Then i tried Launcher Pro 2 and I had the same issue???
Anybody know why this is?

Did i mess up my mms by removing the native sms app? i used Pete's scripts, and have handcent installed. but i am not recieving any mms. Has anyone else heard of this? BTW this is the best freaking rom to date. flies without ocing.
