In the US, I have a navigation program where you can download the maps by state. That makes you independent of the WiFi during the trip. I am looking for such a program for Europe where I can download maps for at least Germany and France. Any suggestions.

I was considering to buy a MiFi to connect my N7 to 3G. But there you only have a limited bandwdith. I would not want to eat my bandwidth with automatic updates. How can I stop those. And also, do phone calls via VoIP (GrooveIP) count against the bandwidth and how much.

Is it possible to associate a certain filetype to a specific program. E.g. associate .gif with a browser or .png with a specific picture viewer. Alternatively I could not find how to 'Open with" a file. When you long press the file, you do not get this option and I have found no other way either.
