how long does it take to update (install), myns been going at it for like 3 hours, I just see a black screen and menu, search, home buttons are lit?

Something wrong there, probably took me about 10 - 15 mins, have ya tried rebooting the phone ?


Also, Since the update the volume through headphones is waayyyyy louder.
 
My battery seems to be lasting longer!!! Charged it up last night, took it off charge at 8. Played with it for a few hours on game dev, then an hour today and its only at 56%.

The phone had crashed so had to take battery out n re did the installation n it worked, update had made battery life even better as now its been of charge all day n phone battery is still full

Glad to hear you got it working and that you haven't got a problem with the battery.
 
wallpaper widgets stay the same... ringtone has been set back to default.. cam faster.. phone much faster and smoother.. calender is not 10mb any more but 5.4mb.. advanced app killer freed 400mb.. will post if i find anything more
 
Mines playing up with the texts but not the same problem as mentioned on the XDA forum. Mines linking any text messages that's from an unknown sender to a random person in my phone book :(
 
iv got the sms problem to.....no notification sound sometimes,then it wont stop notifying me,the preview text wont dissappear after reading the whole message,cant turn off sent notification sound....a right pain...have e-mailed HTC about this,hopefully a OTSA fix asap please...
 
New update seems to make my battery last longer! (1-2% drained every hour while idle) Also the camera and video recorder doesnt stutter anymore so can record 720p video clearly now instead of it lagging sometimes!

Also i think the phone has improved its speed but if i put usb debugging on it still makes an improvement so I dont think that bug has been fixed! I have no issues with text messaging either! Always get the notification and the text alert sound! :)
 
I updated my DHD a couple of days ago. I've turned off USB debugging thing and my phone seems much faster than before. Not had any issues with my sms either.
 
I've lost SMS notifications too. Yet to decide exactly how broken it is or whether there's any pattern to it.
 
When I updated (Christmas Eve)

It sent a text to a friend of mine which was sent 2 weeks ago to them.

Bizare as hell..

I've noted

Camera reaction faster
Animation performance smoother
Bit more snappy

Too early to comment on the battery
 
yeh i have sms bug too, driving me crazy, need to manually check it all the time, sometimes i get one occasionally, other times i have 3 sitting in my inbox no notification
