eBay Link - 2600mah Extended Battery for HTC Incredible

there is a whole bunch of these all over ebay now. the depth is distributed fairly evenly throughout the cover rather than the ones verizon and seidio designed, which look like a "hunchback".

i'm thinking of buying just for the battery and not the cover. i noticed there's not cut out on the cover for the speaker on the back, so i'll look to buy the oem htc battery cover or just buy another ext bat thru verizon that will come with the cover. i prefer the vzw/seidio ext battery cover design because cases, like from seidio, are made to fit with the ext battery. also, i saw somewhere in this forum that someone cut the back of a snap-on case to fit the ext bat, and it looked pretty good.

$15 - 2600mah via eBay
$50 - 1750mah via Seidio
$60 - 2150mah via Verizon
$70 - 3500mah via Seidio

Alright.. for $15 I am game for trying it. I doubt the battery will be more than 2100mAh, but for $15, including a better looking back, its worth a shot.

Zero chance this battery has more than 1500mAh. Don't waste your money guys.

i've purchased extended batteries from ebay numerous times, and they've all pretty much have double the life of oem batteries. i'll try it out and see how well it works.

It looks like the its the the size of two stock/standard sized batteries together.

Thats an awful complicated charging scheme if they are in parallel.

I'd love to test one - just don't think I'll be buying one.

Wow... sounds like there isn't high hopes for the battery here.. heh.

Well, if the battery fails, perhaps the rear case will be worth keeping for a seidio or HTC extended battery...

Can anything good come out of Hong Kong? (bible joke there). Seriously, I don't purchase accessories like that. They have to be OEM or top namebrand. I've lost phones purchasing cheap stuff.

Just sayin'
completely agree....the case look well iffy for the camera too IMO

I think for $15 it's worth a little gamble, heck that back door looks 50x better then the verizon back door. Even if the battery is complete junk the door is worth the $15. I don't think I'll be getting just cause the 1750 gets me easily thru a day. But definetly worth a try for a power user

Its your quote in bold that I am really hoping for. As as this back can fit a VZ (or even better, a bigger Seidio), its worth it to avoid the hunchback lump...

I was all about the 2150 and had the image of what this cover is in my head. I was extrmely disapointed in the Verizon back and even more disapointed in the Seidio Back.
Although I've seen some pretty cool case modifications on this site that make the Verizon Back look really good.

You might want to consider the cost of a replacement phone in your calculations. Many people have wrecked other devices with cheap batteries (myself included), and I doubt damage from a second rate battery is covered by phone insurance. Just a word to the wise.

Do you have more details on the battery caused damage? I have heard of them not performing well, but actually damaging is something I wouldn't mind more info on..

Yeah I've also never heard of batteries causing damage to the phone. I've heard of batteries that will cause the phone to not work properly but just when that battery is in place. I had some generic TP2 batteries in my Eris and while they got about the same maybe slightly worse life then my stock battery they didn't give any ill effects

Keeping my eye on this thread. I am curious what you guys get out of this battery.. as I think all the current larger extended batteries are just too expensive.

Checked the mail last night, nothing yet.

Keep in mind that these are coming from Hong Kong, so they may take a few more days...

These will take 2-3 weeks to arrive, generally..

Really? I have seen people leave feedback for these sellers in around a weeks time..

So, either the shipping is reasonably fast, or some of the responses are bogus. Either way, not in a huge pinch, but I will keep hoping its sooner rather than later. ;)

Well, if it takes that long, so be it. I guess for $15 including shipping, i can't really expect overnight (in fact, $15 normally covers what i would expect to pay for something from HK, so its like the rest is free... hmmm).
