1- my gmail account isnt syncing up? is there something i need to do to get it to sync auto again?

2- when i get an email or text the green led light doesnt go on anymore. how do i put that back on?

3- I lost the haptic feedback on most of the text entry areas. how do i put that back every time i type a key?

4- finally my wife and i both have droids and we have the same stats for usage today but my battery is at 15% and hers is at 80% wth? how can that be?

thanks for the help!

I just got my update last night and had the same problem at first. Go to the home screen. From there hit menu --> settings. From settings, there are two places to adjust haptic feedback: 1. Sound & display and 2. Language and keyboard. Turn the haptic feedback off and then back on in each location, and you should be good to go.

Question - I was just helping a co-worker find the live wallpapers and noticed that she has two extra live wallpapers that I do not have: Terra Time and Earth Time (can't remember the full name of the earth one). Both of our phones are stock. Anyone have any ideas where those other ones came from? They look pretty cool.

Figured this out on my own. She downloaded a trial version of the program called "Terratime" and that where those wallpapers came from.

Sorry everyone. :o

I just got 2.1 and went to the gallery found some pics I wanted to delete and there is no option to delete. Am I missing something??? Is there some documentation on how to use the gallery now?

This is strange, because I just got the 2.1 update and checked out Gallery right away.

When the window first opens, I have three options that show at the bottom of the screen when I hit the MENU button -- SHARE, DELETE, and MORE.

When I go into an individual folder and look at an individual picture, and hit the MENU button, I get the same three options.

just got my 2.1 ota this morning, still no flash eh? BOO!! However, I LOVE the new picture viewer and the pinch zoom function of pix and websites!

2.1 supports flash, but flash has not been released by adobe yet for the droid, should be here mid year. well that is what the guys at adobe are saying.

Gallery ? love the new gallery.. would like to find a way to sort the pictures to my liking. camera folder sorts most current first but other folders sort oldest first. tried numerous ways to sort but it sort of has a mind of its own. any ideas ?
Agreed, the gallery could use a number of options.

Unless its now buried somewhere, I'm also missing the settings for the slideshow. I was previously able to randomize photos and set the duration of the display, but can't seem to find either feature after 2.1. Coupled with the above, it means you pretty much always have to start with your oldest photos, first, instead of moving directly to new ones (either by randomization or sorting).

THANKS for the info!!!

I did the manual update when the zip file came out. my firmware version is now listed as 2.1-update1...

Is this what everyone else has? And does this mean a 2.1-update2 is in the works?

other details:

baseband verion: C_01.3E.03P
Kernel version: 2.6.29-omap1-g7fa8788 android-build@ apa26 #1
Build number: ESE81

All this jive with you guys?

Thanks

I like many others got the OTA update on my Moto Droid. I have experienced all the same performance problems like everyone else but... I used to (2.0) be able to stream Pandora audio to my car's radio via the bluetooth connection. Now (2.1) I can't! This is very frustrating. I have a bluetooth connection because my phone calls and all work fine I just can't stream music anymore. Anyone else had this issue?

I have never rooted and never even thought about it until today. Now that I have the update I have a couple question. Can I still root and have 2.1? Dumb question because I'm a noob.:)

Nope. You'd have to flash back to 2.01 using RSD Lite first. Then you can root.

Where are the extra 2 screens for the Motorola Droid? Why didn't they include it as promised? Will they be adding them later?

Ok thanks! Will there ever be the option of rooting with the new update? Or is going back to 2.0 the only way?
To my knowledge, no devs are working that, so no. No money, no motivation. They don't do that kind of stuff for fun.

Got my update this morning.

Firmware Version says "2.1-update1" ... does this mean it's a multi-part upgrade or are there more 2.1 updates forthcoming?

I noticed in the gallery that when I zoom in on any picture, it gets very grainy.

The images before the update still looked great even when I zoomed in on them.

Anyone else notice this?

Rich

Since the new 2.1 download, I noticed that when I zoom in on a picture, it is much grainier now. :( When I zoomed in before the update, they still looked great.

Has anyone else noticed this? A fix coming?

Is there a way to revert back to 2.0?

Thanks,

Rich

You should NOT allow a lithium ion battery to run down as low as possible. Wikipedia note:

Lithium-ion batteries should never be depleted below their minimum voltage (2.4 to 2.8 V/cell, depending on chemistry). If a lithium-ion battery is stored with too low a charge, there is a risk that the charge will drop below the low-voltage threshold, resulting in an unrecoverable dead battery

Your phone will shut off before you get that low. This is why you should never store your old phones with the battery connected because even a turned off phone draws juice from your battery.

I have the same thing except when I click on a folder of pics the "delete" option goes away and leaves "share" and "more" the more option only gives me a detail option. Help LOL

Yes I have noticed this!! I have a lot of pictures I took with a pro camera that were crystal clear when zoomed in before and now they look aweful.
