My girl has that 3500mah China special for about a month,,,I gotta say results are pretty much onpar with my seidio...

Well it looks like I got burned by Feitong2009 on Ebay. Bought and paid for on Sept 9th 2010 and still no battery. gonna file claim with paypal tomorrow to get my $9.99 back.
 
After reading this post i bought my chinese battery off ebay as well. I received 2 batteries, 2 covers and 1 charger. At first i was very skeptical. Ive had this battery for over a month now and at first i thought that these batteries were the same as stock in which the battery life was the same. Earlier this week i noticed that one of my chinese batteries was draining like water which was way faster than the stock one. So i decided to put in the other chinese battery.

As of right now it has been 1d 5hr 33m since unplugged! I used my phone to surf, text, etc wifi on and i am amazed at how much juice is still available. Its now about halfway drained. I dont know what i did except just left it sitting there in my room but it was a great investment!
 
i have a feeling those two battery deals have been one decent capacity battery and one junk (roughly 1200 mah or less).

This isn't directed specifically at you. And not to be the bad guy but that battery should last almost 3 days with light use. People need to give awake time and detailed type of usage when describing battery life. General up time says nothing with these new kernels that take almost no battery on idle.

Is your Seidio wrapped in the 3M carbon fiber material? If so, how hard was it to make the bends? Did you have to make small slits to get it to lay down flat and smooth? Any close-up pics or some info on how you did it would be awesome!! I have some of the 3M carbon fiber material and was gonna wrap a stock black battery door, but would LOVE to also wrap my ebay extended battery door!! Thanks in advance
 
I get about 8 hours of up time with the stock 1500mah battery and can get about 33 hours of up time with my ebay 3000mah battery. I know lots of people get much better life out of both but this is how I use my phone and 8 hours with the stock battery is just what I get. How some people get 24 hours out of their stock battery blows me away. I do have most radios on at all times, overclocked, and drinking juice like this phone was intended to do!! I have no problems charging my phone every night, and thats how I have done my last 4 phones. I have no need to go 3 days on 1 charge. I have plenty of extra batteries and chargers at my house, finace's house, and workplace...and my cars each have a HTC car charger and car mount in them.

Well, that just sucks. Especially since i was about to order.

Ok, can we get a recap?

1)Which is the winning battery (3000 mah+) that you can actually order without being gouged by the SEIDO?

2) Will this pouch fit the phone with the new back on it? If so, is the belt clip sturdy?

i have battery from feitong but after i take it off from charger battery drop rite away down from 100% to 99% and down,,,
 
by charger do you mean you have been charging the battery in the phone with the phone on and you've disconnected the charging cable OR do you mean you've charged it in an external charger OR do you mean you've charged it in the phone with the phone off? only charging it in an external charger will give you 100% for a long time before it drops. charging it in the phone with the phone off will yield an immediate drop to roughly 90% and charging it in the phone with the phone on will yield an immediate drop to roughly 75-80%.
 
oh ok yes i did charge with phone off for 8 hours and dropped down,,so with regular charger wont charge for full 100% so do i need external charger in order to charge it up to 100% thats sucks!?

1) I and the one who started this thread bought from this seller here 2x 3000mAh Extended Battery+Cover For Sprint HTC EVO 4G - eBay (item 180533087368 end time Oct-12-10 07:43:55 PDT) and have nothing but great results!! I am about to buy another for my fiance but I'm considering trying a 3500mah just to see if there is any difference. I have heard, and began to believe myself, that there is no difference between the 2600mah - 3500mah batteries from ebay. BUT, I am going to buy one labeled 3500mah just to see if there is any, and if not there wont be any loss as it will be the same as the 3000mah like I already have.

Has any one else bought a 3000mah and a 3500mah just to compare the difference and see if there is any at all, or if they are indeed identical other than a sticker?

Another thing: I think we should all post who the ebay seller is, and what our found results are form them. Including: shipping time, communication(if there was any), immediate results, and 1 month later results.
 
A month later, the batteries purchased from ebay seller techzonefourworld are going strong in two Evos. Sold as 3000mah, stickers say 3500, and we get more than double the life over stock. Shipping from HK was about a week.

if you charge it with the phone off until LED is green, unplug and replug, charge until green, repeat a couple of times, it will get closer to 100%. i personally got too annoyed to continue doing that haha.
 
I just got my EVO yesterday and im definately loving it. im interested in the extended battery. I've been a ghost in the forum for a while now even before i got my phone. Has anybody had experience ordering this item from seller cellphoneacc10

That is the exact deal I bought from that same seller. Actually, (since I am also logged in to ebay on another tab on my laptop) when I click your link it says "You already bought this item" at the top of the page. I have been extremely happy with my battery and can easily go over a day with it. With my stock battery it comes off the charger at 7 am and is near dead by 3 pm (8 hours later). With the 3000mah battery it comes off the charger at 7 am and usually has around 35-40% left when I plug it in at night around 1 am.

I have never seen that much of a drop immediately, or even close to it. Something is wrong with yours or you haven't done everything you could to fix it. Phone on charging for me gets it higher than phone off charging. Phone on charging to green light, then turning off and charging to green is all I ever do and it keeps me in the 90's for over 30 minutes of AWAKE time, not up time.
 
Greetings. This is my first post, please don't kill me.

I've read every post on this thread (twice) and have done/decided to do the following with my Evo. It's under 24 hours old, so boy am I psyched.

1) Applied all battery saver techniques (radios, sync, brightness)
2) Downloaded and ran JuiceDefender
3) Will root after I completely understand what I'm doing - it's my first android phone.
4) Order 2X3000mah batteries from here
5) Order external charger from here
6) Run multiple charge-discharge cycles on new batteries before arriving on a conclusion

Anything I've missed?
 
I received my 2 3500 mah batteries the other day and I must say that I am totally impressed with these batteries. Yesterday on battery number 1 I charged it on an external charger and I got just under 24 hours with it and still had about 7% left. I went ahead and swapped out with battery 2 and currently I am at 28% with an uptime of 20 hrs and 27 min and awake time of 2 hrs 30min. I have been on the phone for a couple hours and been sending numerous texts and been playing Word Feud on and off throughout the day. I must note that I am not rooted and did nothing but charge the battery and pop it in the phone. The battery cover is really nice as well. I am impressed so much that I bought 1 more battery and battery cover just in case something is to happen. Two thumbs up!!!!
