Root 4.5.588 Battery Draining?

I just applied the 4.5.588 update manually last night. The battery is dropping faster than usually. I haven't change the display, wallpaper or anything else that normally affects the battery. Call volume has been about the same as normal.

Anyone else notice a change in the battery performance?
 
Give it one or two charge cycled to stabilize before passing judgement.
Whenever you flash a new rom the battery stats get all messed up. For example; the last time I flashed to GB it was reporting that my battery life was 90% when in reality it was around 60%.
 
define "dropping faster". I mean, we can only measure battery in 10% increments, and considering you've probably been playing with it all day, I'd say your battery would drain faster.

Well, we can now measure the battery percent charged in 1% increments now ;) :D.

Check out my app, BattMonX, or Circle Battery Widget, or Battery Monitor from SIMMO Publications [had to give props to my dev friend Andy S. :)].

They all use the charge_counter file (or at least I know my and Andy's app does) which reports a 1% battery charged delta.

Thank you for the help. Today my battery meter is showing the drain rate about the same as before I did the update. So it does take a couple of cycles to get it synced.
 
Are you also sure that you're not playing with your phone more than you were before the upgrade? I would think I'd be playing around with my phone more post upgrade while checking things out.

I'm gonna move this to the root section as I consider GB a root rom. It's not OTA.
 
I played with the phone a lot the night I updated, but I was back at work the next day and used it normally. I do think it needed to go through a couple of recharges to meter correctly.

I don't care where this thread is filed, but I've never been rooted.
