I don't believe those issues are related to the update... As far as my experience goes, the voice search issue was that no sound was picked up by the microphone at all -- easily identified by the fact that there was no "sound wave image" or mic flashing.

As for interference and the inability to identify words when there is background noise... I think that's just how it goes, I don't believe that's an update issue.

CallTrack syncs your call history (and duration) to your Google Calendar (and you can set a separate calendar for your call history):

I haven't seen Sense crash since the update, nor any other problems I had. Sense would crash when using stock browser and just about any random app.

Gps would turn itself on when not using any gps based apps.

Netflix works. Still not showing up in the Market, and it was removed during a factory reset. Reinstalled my apk this morning after todays maintain release. Says there is an update, but can't find. I hit cancel and works fine.

My phone is now working as it should. And that's good enough for me.

You are not understanding my post. When there is background noise (ie driving in a car) the mic does not pic up at all. I didn't say anything about an inability to pick up words. The mic simply doesn't work unless the environment is silent.

That started after the update, it worked fine before.

I just tested it with the new release and it still does not work. If there is background noise, the mic refuses to work.

So then how do you explained that it worked flawlessly in all conditions prior to the update and now it doesn't?

It worked in a quiet environment before. It still does now after the update.

It worked with normal background noise before, like in a running car, airport, mall. It does not now after the update.

The only explanation is the update.

I wish those of you who are not having this issue would just stop confusing the issue. It is a widespread issue that is real and was caused by the update.
 
Yeah voice is better, before I had to talk IN TO the bottom of the phone to get any response and even then it was wrong. It worked ok at home this morning, will play more later. Google sky works now, dunno how well yet.

Yes, this is VERY annoying. It did not happen till after the first GB update.

I've come to rely heavily on voice to text while driving as it's so dangerous trying it manually.

I hope they get it fixed, because the only time iI really use it is in the car, but now I have to be at a red light with the ac off just to get the damn thing to respond. It will say voice not heard otherwise.
 
Seems like all my issues are fixed, but stupid me uninstalled Netflix and it's not in the market......so the waiting game begins.....

......spoke to soon....as soon as I did a reboot.....the generic android apps symbol has replaced some of my icons......oh well nice try......cant wait on the SG2......EVO officially on my shit list.......Just like Apple/Iphone!

Go to the home screen, press the menu button, choose scenes, save your current scene, then switch to a new scene and back to the one you just saved. Your icons will return. This takes less than a minute and you only have to do it once after a full restart.
 
Anyone after the update having issue with their mail app not pulling emails from yahoo, it seem after the update, my mail client won't pull mails from my yahoo account, no matter what setting i tries.
 
Finally got the update here in the Daytona, FL area. Let's see how this turns out...

UPDATE: Went through successfully. Sadly (and obviously) there's nothing visually new so this isn't exciting... and I don't believe I was experiencing any of the bugs from the 2.3 update. Just wanted to confirm the update in my area and add a tally to the success column. The only thing I noticed right away was 3 apps needed an update... thrilling.. I know.

you mean like not having the notification of new emails showing up? or like when using the actual app you cant see any new emails? in any case mines working fine

I am having the same issue. My Yahoo Mail stopped working probably around mid night last night. It had been running on GB 2.3.3 for a couple of weeks. I upgraded to this 6/21/11 release this morning. The problem is still there.

Update: my Yahoo Mail problem is that it does not get new mail from the server. The last one I got was around 10pm last night. If I use my PC to retrieve Yahoo mail, I get lots of them.

I also noticed that my FB shows empty content on the News Feed. If I use a PC to see FB, I can see lots of updates. But on Evo 4G, it shows empty.

Just a guess here but if your Yahoo mail has been working and all of a sudden stopped last night then I would think it is Yahoo Mail having an issue of some sort today. Just a guess though. As far as the Facebook try going to Menu then Settings then Applications then Manage Applications then look for Facebook and select it and then Clear Data. Then reopen the Facebook App and sign back in.

Did it and they came back....but when I did a power down and back up again same old shit.....so no fix is not fix.....just seems that way....I guess never to power off phone.......Thanks anyway!

That happens to me on occasion (and has happened on every version we have had on our phones) and here is what I noticed... the icons are for Apps stored on my SD card and the icons eventually come back after a few minutes (sometimes 10 minutes or more). Are you doing a full power off or Fast Boot?

I cleared the Data on FB and signed back in. It still shows empty content. It was working perfectly until this morning....

Other items on FB seem to work fine. It just does not get News Feed.

On my Yahoo Mail, I found that I could send email out. But I cannot receive new email at all.
