Root a little help needed please.

Back again. Ok I can see your point but I do still think it could be a valuable resource for the noob. Remember a noob may not necessarily have the experience to be able to perform an advanced search or may not feel confident enough to enter these forums for fear of also sounding like a noob.



Anyhow it was only a suggestion.

Tomorrow I plan on installing a different rom. I have looked at the roms and have picked this one, once again thinking my present radio will be ok.

nah your idea is welcome, im just saying that we dont tell people to search as search is too much tbh. we just point people to the faq and everything is there


as for your rom, cant see a problem. just make sure you wipe before you flash it and flash gapps afterwards before booting.

radio will be fine.
 
Hiya,

just preparing to change my rom.

I was going to get gapps. Same thing as before. Trying to access from tools, requires password. Have tried the password, but no luck. This happened before (have tried copy and paste) then as soon as hadron tried it I had no problem. Something strange happening somewhere.

Waiting for my son to look at gingerbread, then will probably root his phone.
 
Ah, it was 99. I have it now from the cyanogen mod website.

Hit another problem now. Trying to search for the answer.
When I have connected my phone to pc it is not recognized. The pc states

please insert a disc into drive.

the phone setting is for disc drive
 
There was a new one this week. Mate. Nothing wrong with the hosting space. I own it and its a simple HTpassword so auth can not change randomly unless I change it.

The password is handronimousprime

Btw you can get gapps from the Cm7 thread
 
ok got it sorted, setting in phone ticked for fastboot, had to download drivers into phone again, then everything ok.

now have cyanogen rom installed.
