Root A new rom

Whats up everybody!!? I've been away for a looooong while, but im dropping in to see whats the newest and most sable roms running now? I'm currently running the old Myn's RLS5. With the software 3.70.651.1 ( yep it's pretty old )
I want to flash a newer rom with the new software (something from Myns, but if you guys got something i mind just as nice i'll try it too.) My Kernel is 2.6.32.25 netarchy-toastmod-4.2.1-cfs-bfq-havs-more-smartass. Any suggestions on a nice, newer, stable Rom?

I've been over at xda looking at the new warm 2.3, but i'm not sure if it's sable. Do you have any thoughts on snergy rom?

I've been running 4.67 ota with chop suey kernel. Getting the best performance and battery I've got from any other sense rom. But I also use battery x2.apk for better battery life. But its still better than any other sense from I've used when it comes to stability and battery.

+1 to mikg3.1. about to flash to flash this in a min or so. and my phone juts did not like synergy. i have never tried warm2.3. i guess i was never really a fan of myn's work even though his warm2.2 was my first rom i ever flashed. it was very slow on my phone even after overclocking it. mikfroyo and koni's elite always seemed much faster and smoother then myn's.

anyways like i said mikg3.1 is probably your best bet. mik just updated his rom.

Yeah the Mik line is nice.
If you want alot of tweaks and options i would go with Mik.
Its on tthe larger side at 255mb's.
If you want the newest OTA the is the optimized stock based on 4.67 or super light and fast with the fluff removed there is NoLimits06 which is 135MB'S.

All of Tommie Tomatoes stuff is nice with options but not to large in size. Although at the moment its based on the last oTA. We are waiting for an update from him though.

Just a few options. A great time to own an EVO.

MikG 3.1 has the new OTA Kernel, plus a bunch of new stuff. I can't wait to flash it!! :D

There are a few sense 3.0 / 3.5 roms out there, but they haven't been updated with the new OTA. Mik3D and Supersonic3D are 2 really good roms. ;)

I went on kind of a flashing binge yesterday. Or maybe a bender. I was running MIUI, then flashed the updated Koni Elite, then MikG but decided I wanted something different because it seems very similar to 3.0, so now I'm running Tommy's Classic with Sense removed.

What version of miui did you flash? It's impossible to keep up on what's the most stable one without Chinese characters.

I have been meaning to try that one too. Thanks for the reminder!

On the mikmik forums it says that flashing 3.1 will wipe data so back up before you flash. Just so I am sure, this means like game data and bookmarks and stuff, right? It won't wipe my sd card correct?

It won't wipe your sd card. Just like flashing any new rom, you have to backup whatever is important to you.

Thanks, thats what i thought, just wanted to make sure. I flash too much to actually retain data on my phone, lol. How do you go about backing up stuff like that, titanium backup?

I don't have all that much on phone either. It has been suggested one do backup their sd card regularly too though.

i do use tb and bought the pro version as well.

Others really like that mybackup pro. I haven't tried it so I don't have an opinion on the subject.
