A tease?

Or you might crash and burn and spend another Friday night alone.

Pffft - respectfully disagree - I say she likes him, I'll bet 10 quatloos on it.

I still say it takes two to tango and each is so liking the other, the noise in their heads is causing an understandable, but temporary, vapor lock.

Besides - few girls like to be what they see as last-minute dates, yes?

I will take that bet and if you lose then I get your mod status:cool:

I guess she could of said she was washing her hair:rolleyes:

I think the point of the matter is you won't know if you don't ask.

You can't ask a girl out and let her know where things stand.

Girls are the ones who have defined where things stand before guys even get clue one.

Girls like nearly everyone. All you can really do is ask the wrong way and it'll be at that precise moment that she'll change her mind and say no.

Rare is the girl that will say no to being asked out - and just being asked elevates you.

The girl has already decided long before the boy asks.

Am I the only only one that gets this? ;) :) :D

I am so enjoying this thread. It takes me back to my dating years.
EarlyMon is right in that even if a girl has not particularly looked at a guy in a "dating" frame of mind before, once he asks her out, (even if she says no the first time), that can help her to see him in an entirely new light. Not only does she realize that he has sublime taste in women, but she begins to see him in a potential suitor mode, instead of just a friendly mode.

Females will always be better at picking up microlanguage from males behaviour. So what you said EarlyMon is basically "woman intuition", they pick up everything we do before we have even said it. :p

True story: my friend met her husband on MySpace, he proposed to her 8 days later even though he was in Britain and she in CA, then met for the first time 3 months later, and then eloped 5 days after that. Now she lives in Germany while he's working for the military. Total time that she has actually been with him is about 5 months... it's been about 3 years ever since he proposed to her.

Hmmmmm....

Ok Vince new plan... move to India, and get a Myspace account!

:D

Yes, perhaps. But it's also possibly the case that we influence each other with microlanguage and what's microlanguage to us is not to them. I think they pick up on what we say when we're not aware we're saying it. I think men do the same with women, too.

A guy named Piaget studied it for educational psychology - he noted the gender difference seemed related to boys being encouraged to be right at an early age while girls were at that same early age encouraged to nurture, and that leads to gender communication differences.

Anyway - I wish I knew, I'd write a book and get rich.

Meanwhile, cheers to the difference, and full steam ahead, that's my motto. :)

Wow, this all took place so long ago... they probably fell in love, got married, had a few kids, stopped talking to eachother, and now sleep in separate beds and haven't had sex in eons.

See what you have to look forward to Vince! :D

Haha, sure we all know how wonderful young love can be. When you're in that mode it seems like that person is the only thing that matters in the universe. You'd give your kidney just to be with them, as if it would make you happy for the rest of your days...

So why is it that if you ask two people how they feel about each other after 25 years of marriage... 999,999 out of 1 million will say, "I can't stand him/her"...
