im not. (its hard to prance from a seated position.) im not working with or for this device anymore, i can pass off what i started to someone else

You realize that working with an emulator is not the same right? If it was, then we would not have people risking their phones getting bricked all the time. If you have something to share, then by all means please share it.

of course its not the same. its idiots that test experimental/untested crap on their phones that results in bricks. (not to mention the slew of newbs that refuse to follow instructions even when put in simple easy to follow instructions.) trying experimental programming/mods/etc on anything other than an emulator first is assanine

regardless, i worked on your handset a bit and have made slight progress - anyone wanting logs, screenshots, etc can hit me up via PM. Peace ~

Why do you try to knock everyone with such hostility, when this all started as a Very light joke and then you try to bribe people with your finds, to gain creditably.......:confused:


Just FYI: there are devs here with quite a bit of credibility and they stood by through all the BS and offered everything they had freely, with only hopes someone would donate to their cause

im not "knocking everyone with such hostility" and "jokes" arent funny when people are spending their time working on stuff outside of their own device ownership. i try and help everyone i talk to but when im met with callous responses and a series of posts deliberately meant to mislead and distract from topic purposes... you get my drift. who wouldnt get frustrated?

Actually, I'm not going to tell you that you need to think about words before you use them, because I nor any other human being on the face of this planet, has the right to encroach upon anyones free will. However I will say that you might want to think about what you're saying before you say it (in a suggestive tone) because for your information I'm the one who initially started this thread with the question of "Is it possible to flash PRLs?" NOT "Please, oh please is there someone out there named Kjohns, that in all his expertise, could please bless us with his holy app crafting skills?"

so the guy without a computer looking for a workaround to the standard way of flashing prl's has something clever to say... how nice. how bout you work just hard enough to buy a computer to use to develop your own shit. Im taking my efforts back to stackoverflow or xda.

At this point in time, it has not been done. But, there is more evidence saying that can be done than there is saying that it can't. This where the phrase "There's a first time for everything" comes into play.

I believe the GB versions of the Evo 3d were capable of flashing custom PRLS through the HTC interface.

Regardless of custom or not, if a phone is capable of flashing a PRL through the phone itself (and yes there are many), then there is no reason you couldn't flash a custom one as well. Sprint/Virgin never intended for us to flash other PRI, Radios or Hboots yet we did and right through the phone.

It's the same as the radio flasher we patched... You just manually change the internal numbering to fool the flasher into thinking you have a newer version. After that, it's a matter of triggering the update.

Easy? I have no idea in this case, but it is most definitely possible if someone were to take the time to do it. Without a need or demand though, it's unlikely.
