Just downloaded and I like it. I read some where you could hide the app names on the home screens, is this possible or do I have this confused with another launcher. Also, what themes are comparable with this launcher, if any? Thanks for the gray launcher

Menu > ADWSettings > UI Settings > Check "Hide Icon labels" it's all the way at the bottom.

No themes are compatible
 
When I unzipped and copied to SD card and tried to open with Astro, all I got were a bunch of folders:

androidmanifest
classes
meta-inf
res
resources

no prompt to install, like I've experienced before with other .apk files. Did I do something wrong?

Don't unzip it.... just download it from your phone. Then go to the download folder in Astro. Easy.

thanks, I figured it out. I was trying to install the update before I had the actual APK. All set now. Now just looking for a good HTC People alternative. I originally was doing this for my wife's Eris because anything that made it faster and get better battery life sounded good to me. But I actually am running it now on my Incredible as well, just to have as an option, particularly if it saves on battery life.
 
I must be stupid here but I downloaded the apk file and it loaded on the phone. But I can't see it in my apps. How do I get started to get it working on my phone. Any help?
 
Thanks for the ADW recommendation. Been using it for a day and I like the sophistication and customization. (Like vertical scrolling better on all apps and was happy still able to keep that since I think it's faster. ADW defaults to horizontal like iPhone.) Smaller bottom standing dock (for phone and one other) is great since you can swipe for more dock items. No big bugs. I used Home and Helix on my old Eris that had silent bug. Pretty cool considering it's free. Only shortcoming I know of is I still haven't been able to see it on Android Market--so need to check back to the dev. site for updates.

Do you think this is ever going back in the market? Now that we downloaded the update from the Dev, it doesn't even show up in your download list from the market. Don't get me wrong, this thing is pretty much perfect. Just wondering about future updates?

It will once google fixes the market and the dev is working on new updates as we speak :D
 
I set this as my default launcher. But how can I change to other launchers to compare them? When I hit the home button now it doesn't give me the option of the other launchers.
