Umm.. most of the Galaxy S phones in the rest of the world already got Froyo since mid November.![]()
Not in the US, our hardware is slightly different which makes for different drivers and such, which is also why the I9000 rom builds are not directly compatible with our devices. I think I read somewhere that the Vibrant is the closest to the I9000, and even it has some special drivers.
And actually most of those ones that have received Froyo have been the unlocked versions, the carrier-locked ones are either receiving theirs now or shortly- but at least theirs have been announced and they know the update is coming at some point.
