[GUIDE] How to Install a custom ROM *NOW WITH VIDEOS* - xda-developers
easy peesy![]()
This is the problem I have, I don't mind flashing a rom now and then but it seems as if the revisions are so frequent that one would be constantly flashing the newest version. I am sure that I am capable, but this being my primary phone both mobile and home, I am not willing to risk down time. Also I don't want the hassle of dealing with the bugs as they are worked out over time.
Awww man...it seems like Feb 31st will NEVER get here.

Well, Epic 4G got the update last night. Who's next?

Awww man...it seems like Feb 31st will NEVER get here.
Info on the forums indicate that the updates haven't been totally successful, with battery and lag issues being reported. AT&T might be looking at how it goes for Sprint and Verizone before they make the plunge.
I find it amazing that a corporation that makes it's fortune in the communications industry does not understand the need to communicate with its customers.![]()
The capability disabling tweaks they threw in are causing problems - imagine that? Really, this just makes me even happier to have freed myself from both AT&T and Samsung.Jesus, if they spent months testing the phone, don't you think they could have at least fixed the major problems? I have no problem waiting for updates if I know A) When to expect it (roughly), B) that it will solve issues and ideally bring about only one or two minor bugs, and C) the update makes the phone better.
I flashed to Cognition 3.04 yesterday. I will probably stay with custom ROM. Who needs AT&T?
I've only had my phone a couple of months, but I'm getting a bit sick of the drama. I'm thiniking I'll give it to the first of March (or the first weekend in March I can devote time to it), and they I'm gonna bite the bullet and and flash Paragon. I'm still nervous about it, but I figure if I can add memory or a hard drive to a desktop, or reinstall an OS, I should be able to do this, right?
