Haha:)I have taken a grand total of 63 pics since I got my SF on launch day so I'd be ok without a camera for awhile. I do have a nice FZ28 if I need to take pictures.
Seriously though Im itching to try this. Im pleased to see PK is working on wifi and BT right now. Frankly, right now the inability to get off it other than an odin trip is a deterrent too. I'd almost rather see recovery fully functional than even BT. 50-50 on whether on jump on it this weekend or not. It will totally depend on what works and doesnt
 
I thought super-high quadrant scores on these mods were the result of the 3D test breaking... Maybe not.

Anyway, does the compass work? Just wondering if this has enabled anything previous AOSP projects haven't.

No that was just on that one phone and that team whiskey stuff. This phone with 2.2 or greater and voodoo will score well in quad it has to, its got great hardware and not that the software has caught up...:cool:

Quad is stupid. We have other SGS phones on official 2.2[.1] with Voodoo and they don't score over 2000 without OC. Voodoo Nexus S hits 2500 or so but I believe that was the 3D driver not liking Quadrant.

i completely agreed with the stupidity of quadrant :o

but the comparison between aosp and tw 2.2.1 isnt really great

i have no idea what other sgs phones on cm6 claim though

I know. Believe me I was off the quad bandwagon before most. However, it is enlightening to see and compare the differences. Like any synthetic benchmark it does allow you to quantify what some of the improvements are. Bottom Line of course is if it works and it did does what you want it too.

Did you jump back on yet. It seems the su;pppd_runner trick works without fail. Also PK did say no need to odin off for v2 it can be flashed right over the top. The pull is strong :D. I might have a gander at v2 myself even if its sans my beloved BT

i actually just flashed back...but friggin adb wont see my phone in froyo of course...whereas it worked on dj05 10 minutes ago

Oh wait so of you restore nandroid it won't bring you back to 2.1? I was under the assumption that it would Haha :D

*if* cwr lets you restore your nandroid from 2.1 to ditch froyo it works fine...but 1/3 times i tried it didnt work and i had to odin, repush cwr and then load the nandroid

now my work comp is seeing the phone, i had to uninstall/reinstall the drivers...meh

adbwireless in a pinch. No drivers needed... um but wifi has to work. :D

Wifi has to work...and you have to be able to access the app as well. :)

Just the growing pains of rapidly progress froyo. To be expected to some degree. :)

I'm saying if I flash 2.2, would my phone revert to a stock 2.2? Then if I did the nandroid backup, would my data revert back as the old 2.1-update 1 or stay on 2.2? I'd like it to stay on 2.2 haha

Not quite yet maybe after the next release Im 99.9% sure the ability to make a nandroid is not yet available or working with the current Kaosinate ROM. As exciting as everything is its likely still a few days away to be good enough for most of us. I never released how important the rotator was/is till I was reminded that all my gameloft games play in landscape and that aint working yet. So no sale for me
 
v2 is out for those that aren't glued to his twitter =D (as of about an hour ago)

reading through the xda post so far, seems like alot of work to get it flashed on and working. i haven't even made the leap to voodoo yet ><

as it progresses, will it become easier and easier to install? Will a voodoo kernal have to be flashed no matter what? I just be scared, is all

As of now and likely forever more you must be on voodoo5 prior to Kaosinate ROM. Its a big step and if something goes wrong its not the worlds easiest fix. Get comfortable with voodoo5 this weekend and by Monday Im guessing the 2.2 ROM will be at a point where you wont have to fret much
