Root [ALPHA] ICS for Optimus M (NOW COMPILED AND BOOTING)

http://db.tt/6im1yvjB

Here are the fixes you'll need for the MS690

Put the copybit.h in directory hardware>copybit.h

Msm7k copybit fix to stop erroring out.

And the phone string.XML that goes into overlay>ms690>phone>packages>values>string.XML
I believe that is the correct path.

For me, ics takes twice as long as GB to build. GB would take about 3 hours, now ics takes about 6 hours

Could not create the Java virtual machine.

ERROR: signapk.jar failed: return code 1

make: *** [out/target/product/thunderc/thunderc-ota-eng.tripdoc.zip] Error 1

need help lol.. ill check this int he morning

signapk.jar has to do with signing your zip...I'm not sure why it would error out there.
That's at the very end...your almost there.

yeaa you're making it to the packaging part, so in essence its compiled but not finishing the packaging to a flashable zip, or not getting thru the signing stage of it.

If you look in out/target/product/thunderc you can see all the components that will be in the zip. if the boot.img and system.img are there you can try to package them in the kitchen if all else fails.

;)

Do you use the porting tools when dealing with system.img and boot.img?
never used em at all lol.

Just drop the system.img and boot.img into the original_update dir and select option 1 from the ./menu when u run it and the kitchen will setup a working dir for you. it will create a install-script for it, that will need to be converted to a installer-script when you do option 99 to build a zip.

Also should be no reason for you to need to use the porting tools anyhow as you compiled the system n boot.imgs for that device. ;)
