Android 4.4.2 KitKat confirmed for Galaxy S3

A really easy way to check if you have wakelocks is in Settings, battery, tap the graph and look at the lines at the bottom where it shows signal, screen on, etc. Where the screen is off but the phone is awake is a wakelock (partial).
It doesn't tell you what apps are causing it though :(

You did a factory reset after you took the update? I was about to factory reset my phone now. I am backing everything up as I am typing this. The factory rest did not improve your battery life? Also Wakelock Detector does not work with Kit Kat unless you rooted.

No, I used to be on cm 11, now I am back on the touch wiz firmware, I think I did a firmware after I got it or something... I might do a factory reset after I get kit Kat, I just hate having to redownload everything and I lose all my game progess too :(

Titanium backup restores all my saved games... both in my emulators and standalone apps. Even going from stock ROM to a custom one.

Lol Androidlover just went through a lot of trouble to unroot :D

That he did, I wonder if he decides to root it again! Every issue I see on here I usually want to answer with a root related solution (aside from hardware issues obviously) lol :D

as many knew once you update to 4.4.2 on a galaxy s3 or any other phone your sd card would not work. I just rooted my phone be able to write to the sd card but the problem im facing is I use my sd card for music and school work. I could write to the sd card now but I cant play any music or open anypdf file on my sd card. It comes out on my book readers and music players but every time it says "couldn't play track requested". Anyone know a fix to this since all the files are still on my sd card and Ive used rescan sd and nothing.

I have no reason to, (not unless rooting can get rid of the random glitches and battery issues I've been having...)

I don't use SD cards so I'm all good, lol.

It'll most likely take a month for Kit kat to come to it any ways...
What am I gonna do with it when it's rooted? It's fine the way it is, besides from the problems I listed before.

Even rooted and ROM'd I just had the battery glitch happen to me tonight. I might try and recalibrate the battery... hopefully that fixes it.

Just wanna know, I have a Galaxy S3 SC-03E Docomo Version unlocked, if I do the official KK update will I lose my unlock? Thanks in advance.
