Anime/Manga not so ultimate otaku Lounge

Wow that's way before my time. 1967? I'm a 90s kid so I'm not too familiar with some of the older anime.

I used to watch the _original_ Astro Boy. :D

Don't ask! :D

Into the machine - Jack and the Witch - I don't recall... I'll have to look for that..

TOBOR The Eighth Man was pretty good stuff though. :)

Watch "8thManDVD.com: Tobor The 8th Man Ep. 1 "How I, 8th Man, Came To Be" [DVD Remastered] FULL EPISODE" on YouTube

The original RoboCop. Plus Professor Genius was really creepy in retrospect. :D

So, it struck me that the comparison of the 8th man to the Major&company in GITS is somewhat interesting on a number of obvious and subtle levels.

In both cases, tragedy leads to cyber crime fighters.

The degree of cyberization reflects the tech of the day but in each case, there's no wetware left upstairs - cyber brains are used.

An older, wiser man provides guidance.

Of course the difference is that you couldn't get me to watch another 8th man again.

I'm half way through watching Marmalade Boy and damn I see why its considered a classic. Its definetly a must see! One of the best I've seen in a long time

I finally finished watching Gantz...kind of painful to watch towards the end with all of the characters (particularly the women) getting killed in various ugly ways. I've seen anime that mixed sex with violence but Gantz takes it to an entirely different level.

I saw this video on youtube...is Soul Eater any good?
Professor Stein AMV - Unstable - YouTube

Watching Fullmetal Alchemist in Japanese subtitles now I got my PC hooked up to my TV using my Zorin Linux operating system through an HDMI cable , Moonshine that works for Silverlight so that I can watch it from Google Chrome using Hulu Plus or Netflix because Netflix won't work without Silverlight, or you can also use androvm already pre configured rooted Android jelly bean and download Hulu plus or Netflix from the Play Store and play in a virtual environment of Android jelly bean, turn off monitor save data & enjoy all the anime u want

Wanted too ad that this helps out alot also

That's exactly how I was using on it for awhile still have that mhl adapter, but this way i have a full computer power & can be hardwired into the router, android wifi reception kinda sucks so it would skip alot from wifi on it but I also got one of them powerline to Ethernet plugs adapters that uses your homes electrical wiring as a direct connection to your router and then I noticed that it was no longer skipping or lagging from my crappy DSL connection , and I had to find a way to be able to watch all the stuff that you guys are talking about cause I love anime

, wanted to add that I do love the Android forum app better than me actually trying to type it off at keyboard because of my dyslexia

I just finished watching Welcome to the NHK for a second time, one of my all-time favorites. That's one of the few animes that I enjoy more as English dubbed.

Another good action anime that's pretty recent is Psycho Pass. It's set in the not too distant future where your future is determined by your mental state. Check it out. :)
