Any Gun owners out there?

So my sweeitie has passed. Damn, i loved her.
How much is that shotgun the Navy likes for boarding parties?
Anything that could work in those narrow corridors should easily protect my home.
I can't think of any reason I'd need a longarm.

The Remington 870 Tactical is a popular model for such. Fairly cheap and very well made and popular.

Of course there is always the Standard Manufacturing DP-12 :)

Found it but didn't buy. Mossberg Mariner with the pistol grip. Shiny!
It's been a long, long time since i shot anything so I did some reasearch to check my preconceptions.
I mis-remembered what a shotgun can do. The spread of shot is smaller.
That doesn't mean it's not big but for my situation i need something i can aim.
I'm looking into shoulder stocks now.

I have a Kel Tec KSG and like it a lot for a tactical shotgun. There are a lot of buyer choices out there.
Considering how few shells the weapon will see... any choice will serve you well.

Sorry for being so tardy at responding.. I've been out of town. No Sir, I have fired zero mini shells though I understand they run well through it. I have the gun strictly as a home protection weapon. Being as it has a selective magazine tube feed, I keep one loaded with buck and the other with slugs. It's no a quail gun.

I stood in line for Cabela's to open to then stand in line to buy the sale item SigSauer P365. I was number 10 in line and they sold 11 units. Not only is the gun difficult to find, they had a sale that was difficult to beat. Friday the 13th was lucky for me.

It's chambered in 9mm Lugar and boast a 10+1 capacity in a sub compact package.

And I thought my G26 was compact!

I look forward to reading your range report. :D

A bit smaller yes. However, your 26 has an excellent track record and the 365 is the new kid on the block. It has a ways to go before you can truly compare the two.

I hope to get to the range today. I will report.

Got to the range and was impressed. My groups were a bit more open but not embarrassingly so. The gun was very controllable and was easy to reacquire target for a follow up shot. I've not shot a 26 so I can't give a comparison. I'm plenty happy though.

I lost my Firearms Identification Card (FID) issued in Boston MA back in the late 1980s. I'm wondering if renewing it would let me buy a shotgun.

No crimes commited, I'm a law abiding citizen. Should i just reapply?

You needed a special card in MA in the '80s to own a shotgun? In PA all you needed then was a valid driver's license. Had a shotgun and a couple of .22 rifles that were purchased from the sporting goods dept. of a department store.
