Any new phone rumors for Sprint?

I am hoping that will be the case as well.
Sprint (and everyone else) announces the Note 2 on Oct 24th. Start pre-selling for two weeks. Gets deployed in stores on Nov 11th. And then on Black Friday, BAM Amazon/Sprint/BestBuy sell it for 150.00

Then and only then will I say screw the 32/64 version and get the 16. lol

Although I am really wanting the 32/64 one.

and I agree with Dan, if a black friday sale goes with the Note, Sprint will make a killing.

The only problem with Black Friday specials is they're usually limited to stock on hand. I believe the rumors about the $50 GS3 are only for brick and mortar stores with that stipulation. Of course, as drex pointed out, that doesn't mean other places can't or won't price match. :)

If the Note 2 has a special Black Friday deal, my only concern about the Best Buy price match is that they require whichever store has it, to actually have it in stock.

Crossing my fingers and toes that there's some sort of special on Black Friday because everything is pointing towards my pre-ordering the Note 2.
 
but if Sprint is having a black friday special ... then you should be able to order it on their website.. even if back order.. they will send it to you.

i would rather NOT go out to stores and fight the crazy crowd... early in the morning too!

right?

Well, Best Buy is my only option (uber gift cards to spend), so hopefully the sale will be all day, which means I can go to Best Buy in the afternoon and just have them match...that's assuming best case scenario and the Note 2 gets a deal also.
 
Just when it seems like I've made up my mind, an article comes out that makes me pause and slow my decision down:

I'd actually consider getting a new plan from another provider, if this didn't make it to sprint, just to have this and the note 2. Then again, maybe I'll just take my buy back from best buy for my photon and buy an unlocked padfone without activation.

Man, I would love for this phone to be a Nexus.
 
padfone is very cool phone.. and innovative.

it has a lot of cool factor..
but not sure if i am buying the usefulness of it.

would it not be more useful to have 2 working devices? a phone and tablet.
the padfone.. you can only use 1 or the other. but you still have to carry around both.

Depends on how it's priced. If it were 50 more than the galaxy note 2, at a subsidized price... much better than paying double to have 2 devices. For me, it'd be the convenience of having files stored on a single device, so i won't need to be sure the files are on 2 devices.

so, what happens to the cloud when ur on a road trip or business trip and don't have signal? lol... or even better, ur on the road and the signal pops in and out. No more cloud... lol

I like the cloud, but will never rely on it. Here's another fail. All the cloud drives I use (Google drive, dropbox) are blocked by my work.

I feel you. Was just messing with you. This is the reason I couldn't ever have a device without expendable storage. Relying solely on the cloud would never work for me.

Somehow, I shoulda known u were...lol. That's the big sell for Google, but it's too bad their big sell is dependent on providers being able to have connection everywhere. I think that's why Google is trying to expand google fiber. I could easily see them selling, "if your provider can't get you online, Google Fiber can." They'll start having wireless routers that'll allow google Fiber customers to connect to wifi, while out and see about. Time Warner kinda does it already.
 
One of these days (probably in a galaxy far far away) The manufacturers will just make wifi phones and have plug in radio adapters that get attached to the usb port. the adapter would have the radios for your carrier as well as a sim slot etc. The moment you connect it to the wifi phone, you get charged by the carrier. Unplug it and switch to another plug in radio adapter (for overseas) and the device can be used anywhere with anyone you choose. Be it Sprint, verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, O2, or even Googles Fiber.

If they kept the RAZR name, it would almost certainly be a Verizon exclusive (in the US at least), since that particular branding for Android phones hasn't been seen anywhere in the US but Verizon. I'm actually a little surprised Big Red allowed their pet lapdog to make an international RAZR.
