Any new phone rumors for Sprint?

Considering that Samsung sees the Note series as being the new flagship series (sorry S3, sorry Nexus) its easy to come up with specs that will blow everything out of the water and keep it as a flagship device.
(granted flagship is a term overused since most manufacturers come out with devices every few months and each one is labeled flagship)
but anyway..

My predictions are...
The 13mp camera that was suppose to be in the Note II will be in the Note III
Unbreakable glass (which is rumored to be in the S4)
2.0GHz Exynos 5450 quad-core (Cortex A15) processor (although I would love to see the 8-core big.LITTLE ARM, but thats for Note 4.)
1024x980 ClorOLED 358ppi density wiacom display
Dual Speaker
Dual Flash
32GB internal memory minimum
SD Card storage up to 128GB
Android 5.0

While I agree that the Note 2 is the better phone, I think Samsung considers the S series the flagship phone for the mainstream consumer. But I'm with you on the Note series being the phone that blows everything out the water. Next year I'm going to pick between the GS4 or the Note 3. My dicision will all depend if I'm patient enough to wait for the next Note lol.

That is just way too big. There's no reason for a phone to be that size.

I agree. I can't see them making a comfortable to hold 6.3 inch device. No reason for them to put out a 7 inch Note tablet (which is already being tested), that I'm likely to get (since Best Buy's price match allowed me to have some gift card money to use towards), while also planning on making a 6.3 inch Note 3. Talk about overkill.

I think the only thing missing on the Note 2 is, they could switch the current bottom of the screen to on-screen buttons, rather than the soft key/hard home button. This would allow for better integration and use of the S-Pen. Even though I've gotten used to holding the S-Pen and hitting the home button, I'd prefer to just continuously use the S-Pen whenever I do use it. On-screen buttons would allow that to happen without issue.

^^^

take out the buttons.. and in screen real estate.. BAM.. 6.3"
AND reduce the over all size by a little bit...
bigger battery...
pull out bluetooth ear piece...

win win win

If they accomplish all that without increasing the size from the current Note 2, I'm all in for 1 more upgrade (I'll just use one of my family members' upgrades), but I have my doubts. In the meantime, I'll be set and content with the Note 2 until my next upgrade.

Yeah they are going to have to put on-screen buttons on that beast and reduce the bezel. I been playing with the Note 2 and I absolutely love it. The size doesnt bother me at all. If Samsung can just fit 6.3 but keep the same size of the Note 2, that would be awesome.

Would you say it's worth upgrading from the S3? I have been going back and forth since it was announced if I should bite the bullet or not..

When I first got it, I had already gotten a chance to get a feel for it to really know if it'd be too big for my tastes. I was borderline about it, especially with the Optimus G still yet to be "formally" announced for Sprint. Once it was announced and showed no microSD card slot, my mind was made up on getting the Note 2. At that time, I figured I'd deal with any adjustment I'd have with the bigger phone.

After almost 1 month owning this bad boy, I'm completely content with the size. After the first 2 weeks, I thought that I'd run into the same feelings some reviews have had that it got cumbersome after a long time of using the phone, but my feelings were exactly the opposite. The battery life alone was worth the change/adjustments I needed to make, but the actual handling of the phone (even one handed) was fine, once I perfected how I handle the phone using one hand. Keep in mind, I don't have the biggest hands either, so while there are some functions I absolutely must use 2 hands, the few one handed tasks that I've always been able to do on past phones were just as easy on the Note 2 (especially with all the compatible 1 handed settings available...for me, the 1-handed text keyboard has been the biggest win of all of them).

Really tough call, Tommy. Considering the S4 is right around the corner, I'd say it'd be better to wait...unless, you feel that the S-Pen would be a huge factor for you. For me, the S-Pen was definitely the X-Factor and I use it quite a 'bit for work and personal business tasks. I love the responsiveness of the new S-Pen, which truly has been all it was hyped up to (for me). I used to have the HTC Flyer and hated using the Stylus. I bought the HTC Stylus thinking it'd be perfect for notes, but it was awful at picking up my handwriting (and didn't allow as many functions as the S-pen has provides me with) and I have awful handwriting. The Waicom Digitizer technology that they put in the S-pen makes a world of difference.

It's a tough call like drex says. If I had the S3, I would just stick to it. Unless the S-Pen capabilities really wows you and you have the money to spend. Its very tempting. Like I said, I been playing with the phone and I feel like buying it lol. I'm just going to wait for the next go around....GS4 or Note 3 possibily.

I was >< close to getting the S3 until I heard rumors of the Note 2. That threw all thoughts of the S3 right out the window. I'm not gonna front though- had I gotten the S3 first I would've still gotten the Note 2 mainly for the size increase and yes...The S-pen.
I loved the stylus from back in the day and this comeback is awesome.

Guys, I don't think that the rumour of a 6.3 inch display is for the Note 3, but rather a inbetween device. We currently have the Note 5.5 (Current Note) and the Note 10.1 (Tablet)

Most likely it would be to compete with the ipad mini and i do not think it will stay at 6.3 but rather a 7.

its way too early for these rumours anyway, (LET ME ENJOY MY CURRENT NOTE SIZE) lol

Haha understandable. The same thing may happen with me with the upcoming S4. It would be hard for me to get it knowing the fact the Note 3 will be looming on the horizon.

Yeah its just a rumor but its fun to ponder the possibilities. I don't think it will be that big either but who knows.

I plan to stay with the Note line indefinitely.

I plan on checking out a Note on my next upgrade. I plan on going with the Galaxy S line or move to the Note line. At this point I don't see myself moving away from Samsung. At this time last year if someone would have told me I would be going with Samsung I would have laughed at them. Now I find myself recommending them to everyone.

I'm with you on that assessment. Samsung is doing great things.

As everyone may know, I used to be a severe hater on Samsung based on prior experiences with their devices. However, they have changed my mind with the release of the GS3. The phone is a behemoth and they are doing a great job of providing updates and the whole 9. I would buy a GS4 if it is really that great.
