Yeah they are going to have to put on-screen buttons on that beast and reduce the bezel. I been playing with the Note 2 and I absolutely love it. The size doesnt bother me at all. If Samsung can just fit 6.3 but keep the same size of the Note 2, that would be awesome.
When I first got it, I had already gotten a chance to get a feel for it to really know if it'd be too big for my tastes. I was borderline about it, especially with the Optimus G still yet to be "formally" announced for Sprint. Once it was announced and showed no microSD card slot, my mind was made up on getting the Note 2. At that time, I figured I'd deal with any adjustment I'd have with the bigger phone.
After almost 1 month owning this bad boy, I'm completely content with the size. After the first 2 weeks, I thought that I'd run into the same feelings some reviews have had that it got cumbersome after a long time of using the phone, but my feelings were exactly the opposite. The battery life alone was worth the change/adjustments I needed to make, but the actual handling of the phone (even one handed) was fine, once I perfected how I handle the phone using one hand. Keep in mind, I don't have the biggest hands either, so while there are some functions I absolutely must use 2 hands, the few one handed tasks that I've always been able to do on past phones were just as easy on the Note 2 (especially with all the compatible 1 handed settings available...for me, the 1-handed text keyboard has been the biggest win of all of them).
Would you say it's worth upgrading from the S3? I have been going back and forth since it was announced if I should bite the bullet or not..
Really tough call, Tommy. Considering the S4 is right around the corner, I'd say it'd be better to wait...unless, you feel that the S-Pen would be a huge factor for you. For me, the S-Pen was definitely the X-Factor and I use it quite a 'bit for work and personal business tasks. I love the responsiveness of the new S-Pen, which truly has been all it was hyped up to (for me). I used to have the HTC Flyer and hated using the Stylus. I bought the HTC Stylus thinking it'd be perfect for notes, but it was awful at picking up my handwriting (and didn't allow as many functions as the S-pen has provides me with) and I have awful handwriting. The Waicom Digitizer technology that they put in the S-pen makes a world of difference.
