Anyone else planning on pre-ordering?

The Verge is claiming it will come in black or white... I didn't see that option when I preordered (during the middle of IO keynote). Anyone else see the ability to choose?

I'm assuming it'll be black by default. With the rubberized back, I shudder at the thought of a white device.
 
I ordered mine today also! Very excited!! But I didn't see any mention of the $25 dollars promised for the play store..
 
Does anyone actually "know" if they will release a white version? I heard and read that attendees of the I/O were given white ones to try out. I really want a white one!
 
16GB ordered. My washing machine bit the farm and thought, Oh no, there goes my Nexus 7 money. Thankfully, a friend was able to fix it for under $50, so I'm good again.:D
 
Just ordered the 16gb today. There is a 15 day return policy, so if I don't like it, the Nexus can be returned. If so, only lost out on postage I guess

open the packaging neatly....and dont forget they can charge you a 15% restocking fee. so keep everything looking clean
 
Yup, just ordered for shipping in the UK. Unfortunately my card was declined and I found that I had not given Google Wallet my new address so the order is on hold. I seem to remember this happening when I moved just before the Nexus One...

Anyway address changed so awaiting new confirmation.

It seems odd since I've bought plenty of Apps since I lived here.

Looking forward to the N7, I'm sacking off my Xoom in favour of it. I wanted a smaller more comfortable tablet for flights and so on. I nearly bought the Xoom 2 media edition.
 
if all goes well, I'll order this tuesday. I already sold my kindle fire on craigslist to help me purchase this one. I was surprised, it only took me one day to sell it.

I asked one of the people that went to the I/O on youtube, he had an early review of the tablet, and he had said the same thing, they scored the white version, but for retail, they will be black
 
Placed my order the day after the announcement at I/O, after I got a chance to watch the announcement. Got a 16gb on the way. So pumped that a lot of the rumors (quad core, ASUS, 7 inch) were true. Now we wait...
 
I was all set on pre-ordering today, but, w/the talk of a 10" model w/possibly more features,I'm officially on the fence w/getting the NEXUS 7.*

I bought an 8 for my wife and a 16 from me. My goal is to get rid of my laptop. We already have an ipad 2 and I am not in love with the 10" screen for anywhere but home or in the car with the kids.

Loving that I don't have to buy a bunch of new apps.

They're different use cases IMO. I don't use my 7" tablet for the same purpose that I use my 10" tablet for. My advice - Buy 'em both. I probably will. :)
 
Shipping is now 3-4 weeks. I hope that's for new orders and not retroactive.

No confusion at all. If it doesn't arrive 3 weeks after I preordered, then it's a screwed up launch. If it arrives within that time, then Google is competent in regards to its product launches.
