Root [Application] Eris Master Application [R00T]

We are taking down this application until we can go over the code again to fix some bugs that people are having issues with. Some have reported it works fine, others have been having some issues. We are working on recoding this app as soon as we can, and will get a new working build out for you guys. Until then, it will have to be done either threw grdlocks script, or manually. Support is always available on the IRC server.

ECLIPS3 and Jamezelle
 
ok so i went into the #droideris room in IRC and they said that error meant i can't root because i either have a new phone or the 2.1 leak... is this true? I thought you could still root with that!
 
I grabbed the program before you took it down, working on step 2... May want to mention in the install instructions to make sure they check one rom (going with official Eris 1.0), and check the two options below the rom selection and I didn't realize they needed to be checked. but figured it was necessary.
 
dumb question, how long does Step 2 take? 5,10, 15mins? Just curious...


---update---- took around 10mins wasn't sure as I didn't see a status indicator... so it worried me, but rooting is now in process... its installing the ROM now. JOY!

did they or did they not take the file down? and where can i find grdlocks script?...i really want to root but have no experience in it!
 
the app is down, but I had grabbed it, and it does work fine, just have to be patient, works great. but, im sure they'll make tweaks to make it better.

This is a stupid question,lol, but I'm completly new to all of this, could some one please help me root my eris, I don't even know where to start,lol, I'm running the official 2.1 ota, I really want root for live wallpapers and all the other extras, please any information will be greatly appreciated, I flashed my wifes Eris with leak v3 that's my only experience,lol, thanks
 
Sorry guys. Just trying to get used to communicating this way. I don't tweet or use any of the social networks. Just an old email guy. Thanks in advance for the help and understanding. Again I need the root download for a eris with the 2.1 ota. :D
 
I've tried this method but feel like I must be doing something stupid. When I initially try to run this I get a device not found error, phone has never been rooted and is running 2.1 OTA. Ideas?

USB has been debugged and is connected to charge only
 
Anybody have an ETA on when this will be back up and running? Really wanna root and this seems like the easiest way to go about it. Unless someone knows an easier way?

We are working on getting a new build out soon. the main issue is getting it to work properly for XP.

Eclips3, I just wanted to express my thanks to you an Jamezelle for creating this app. I used it to try to root and did run into some of the issues that I think you guys are addressing (steps 1 & 2 worked; 3 and 4 hung). That being said, I finally did finish-out the steps (thanks to pkopalek) and I might not have taken the plunge in the first place without having your guys' app available. Thanks again!
