did they or did they not take the file down? and where can i find grdlocks script?...i really want to root but have no experience in it!dumb question, how long does Step 2 take? 5,10, 15mins? Just curious...
---update---- took around 10mins wasn't sure as I didn't see a status indicator... so it worried me, but rooting is now in process... its installing the ROM now. JOY!
i hope its back up soon. i think this is my only option to root.
Why do you say this?
Have you tried http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-eris/53963-guide-stock-1-5-latest-root-2-1-a.html
I am getting my replacement Eris tomorrow so I am hoping to have it rooted tomorrow.
Okay, I tried something new this morning. Since it seemed the program wasn't writing the PB00IMG.zip to my folder (I would look after it said it did and it wasn't there), I manually put it on there. I let it do its thing then it said "Main version is older! Update fail!" What do I do now? I am so confused...
Anyone on here to help I'm stuck
Anybody have an ETA on when this will be back up and running? Really wanna root and this seems like the easiest way to go about it. Unless someone knows an easier way?
Best place to know / find out is over at the xda site for this thread; I'm sure it will be the first place updated when it is available. Here's the link to the main page over there:
[Application] Eris Master Application [R00T] - 6/3/10 - xda-developers
If you read the first and last pages of the thread, you'll see the status (especially the last page).
To see if its really been re-uploaded, check the download area that Eclips3 posted ('tis not there at the moment):
HTC Droid Eris ROM Site
Thanks!
Yes, as stated above, best place to check is the XDA thread. Or add us on twitter: ECLIPS3 (THE_ECLIPS3) on Twitter
We are working on getting a new build out soon. the main issue is getting it to work properly for XP.
