Nice to see Samsung got rid of the Pentile Matrix for their new screens..
Whats even more interesting is the early benchmarks of the Orion chip in the Galaxy S 2...
Yea, that's good, but it's still made by Samsung which is automatically a downside.

prob not getting the Atrix now for three main reasons, PenTile display
locked bootloader
the higher pixel density will cause the Tegra 2 to work more, lowering it's performance.
This is from what I've gather with the Moto's lock boot loader. The only 2 downers are 1)you gotta wait for the upate from Moto and THEN you can have the developers cook up a ROM base on that kernel. So you won't get like the Gingerbread ROM that uses the Stock Google SDK. Also...once Moto moves on and leaves the Atrix sitting with Android 2.X or 3.X, and 4.X comes out...you're stuck with just ROMs with the kernel for the 2.X or 3.X.I just want a functional phone, and for that matter you can still flash custom ROM, just not change out the kernel, so you can tweak the UI, all the resource files, layouts, apps, etc., even with a locked boot loader.
Does the HTC Desire Amoled use a PenTile display, if so would the LCD PenTile display look much different.
I am happy with the display in my Desire so if the Atrix is about the same quality then I would be happy this display.

PenTile LCD is not the same as PenTile AMOLED. Don't jump to negative conclusions.
