Root Awesome Android Update 4 Released

Yeah, on update 3, I did a full data wipe and it worked great. No problems. Then I flashed update 4 and 5 on my phone and browser and apps were closing. Like they would load up, then freeze then just close. I tried restarting the phone but no success. For now I will just stick with update 3. Just wanted to let you know. Anyone else having these issues?
 
did you clear dalvik before flashing? the new update changes Dalvik VM specific values. Which could cause apps to crash or become unstable. Therefore you would need to clear Dalvik cache so it can rebuild with the new values.

EDIT: Also Shinjitsu Rom is changing and getting bigger, I think its time for a change. From now on Shinjitsu Rom will become known as Awesome Android!
 
Shin, I can't seem to get VVM to work correctly. I restored data from my stock copy and yes it pulls up all my previous voicemails but when I left myself a voicemail, I didn''t recieve a notification. Other than that, your rom is a beast. I guess I'll just have to do without VVM cause there's no way I'm going back to stock :).

I excited to see what the Awesome Android is equipped with. Keep up the great work.

Looks to me like update 4, is the latest.
But, I'm not "DimBulb fer nothin.:confused:

With the release of update 3 you no longer have to install earlier versions. Just grab update 3 and go :)

Update 5 is out. Its just not posted on the forums yet. If your using shinjitsu, look in goo manager on your phone. Browse compatible ROMs. Both shin's ROM is there and cm 10 updates are there also.
 
So I'm a little lost. To update should I backup everything? I'm already running this ROM, just an earlier version. This'll be my first ROM update if you couldn't tell. So far this is an amazing ROM though. So much better than stock. Thanks a lot for your hard work, man.
 
if you going to update 3 then yes it is suggested that you factory reset. alot of stuff changed between the first version and update 3. alot of dalvik VM tweaks and so on wich could cause issues with existing apps.

I'm really liking your rom, and update 4 and 5. Very fast, as most have mentioned. I just found Rom Toolbox Lite, giving me a message that I didn't think it should though. I wanted to try it's Theme Manager, maybe try a different theme, when it opened for me, the screen said my Rom wasn't deodexed though. I thought I read, in this forum, that Junkie, or you had done that. No other issue, except that hanging on while being whipped around at such high speeds is cool!

It's just a thought, but here's a sound (MP3) that would really go hand in glove with your Rom's boot screen animation.

Maybe the next update?

Maybe that's having too much fun?

I really AM a dim bulb, just realized that my looking for other themes, might be a slam!

Not at all, I wasn't sure even what a THEME was, I know NOW though!

Just wanted to try out stuff in that Rom Toolbox lite App I'd downloaded.

I like the brilliant orange samurai guy.

I fixed the music widget layout as well.. All this will be included in the next release!
