Root Awesome Android Update 4 Released

I'm trying my hand at building from source, I'm downloading Cm10.1, we will see what happens from then on. i should be able to use the device tree junkie, PG, and superr have been working on. Just wanting to learn how to do some of this, so i will be helping them and working on my rom. Porting Cm10.1, and working on a new version of my rom for the ZTE Warp N860

Your a busy man and if you can make this rom better I'll be content but if you can build and get cm10.1 to boot I'll be ecstatic
 
Any chance you can restore the original "long press" lock screen as an option? Loving the ROM, but I got really used to the press to sound.
 
Custom roms are meant to be different in every possible way from stock roms, it's just a matter to get used to new things :)
 
Just want it as another option. Seems strange that the new 4.2 style is still listed as "Long Press." Also, the long press is a custom ZTE thing, was never from AOSP.
 
Lol I forgot to change it, it used to say AOSP Lockscreen guess between changes and code edits it got switched back.
 
hey shinru, love the aa rom you have put together, super smooth and fast, been running it since you posted, no issues at all..... any way to make some inverted color apps? like the contacts and messenger, from the awful white, and change them to the black blue theme like everything else? they are the only two apps that i have found that dont match a damn thing and was wondering if you could cook something up and make them as a zip for cwm. or even as just apk files and ill push them myself? if i had the tools and know how id do it myself, but i dont so im asking you. if you need a tester for anything, just let me know.

I've already did flashable zip, thanks, but I'll love to learn how to make an aroma install, I guess that's my next google search! lol
 
Guys I was just wondering if awesome Android still has the memory issue I seem to be burning up a lot more than stock b09?

AOSP is moving away from the blue on black with jelly bean, and so should we. The inverted gmail is crazy ugly.

Google now runs really well (velvet.apk) but the trebuchet search bar doesn't match. Any chance you can make the new 4.2 white search bar an option? The white bordered version is also crazy ugly and reminds me of honeycomb :P.

Hey this may sound like a numb skull question but how do you get Google now on awesome Android?

Make sure you fully close apps, if not it will sit in active ram. Check your running process's, also don't forget to reboot from time to time.

I found it on xda, version m7 I think. Manually backedup and removed Google search then manually installed the velvet.apk. Works really well in my area, tons of local results, awesome having it on something other then my nexus 7.
