Root Awesome Android Update 4 Released

I love to help when I actually know how. :D
I now happen to have a question of my own: Could someone possibly explain what "purging of assets" (settings) to obtain more RAM means or does to the phone?

A good bit... Not ASE certified, but can change out motors, transmissions, most parts, and rewire 90% of it as well as add customizations of sorts... What similarities apply?

Purging of assets does basically what a blow off valve does. When the motor (the phone) builds up too much pressure (RAM) the blowoff valve blows the pressure out of the motor therefore making more room for combustion (free RAM) it basically kills background processes to free up ram.

Oh, wow. Kinda like an auto task killer for stuff not actively being used? :smokingsomb:

:DWow, phone has more snap. But acting weird occasionally with my browser. Doesn't seem to wanna register some touches and occasionally stops data use for some reason. Gotta kill browser app manually. Maybe I just got too much stuff on my phone. the more I peek under the hood to tune it, the badder it gets... Shinru has dropped some RAM air into this thing. :D

After you set the purge I would clear the cache and reboot. Give it a fresh start. For some reason the sequent gets laggy after a lil while if u don't reboot. Almost like the Samsung galaxy devices. I think their lag was due to the type of file system they used, I don't know what the problem is but this device actually uses the same scorpion processor. Maybe that's the problem.

Hey Shin, I'm pumped about the pulldowns, they are looking great, appreciate it, and I have a question- would the Nexus S 'Microbes' LWP .apk or (zip file) work in Awesome Android? I've been trying to find a version that would function, and so far I can't get one to work.

Here you go, most people dont post the link library for it. i tested on my device and it works fine. i like it so will include it in my rom from here on :)

This seems to work pretty good thanks for bringing it up guys I was scared to try it but it is smoother...haven't noticed any browsing problems yet but I did wipe my cache
