Best Buy availability

At least they have pre-order up online now for either the white or titanium. Unfortunately, they couldn't change my pre-order from the white to the titanium on the system, but as expected, they said it would be no problem to swap to the titanium whenever they get in.

Yeah, most were suprised when i showed up with the phone. No one knew that it was even released and customer's were upset we didn't have any. I'm hoping otterbox releases a case soon.

Here's my question, after I placed my pre-order in my local store, I got a verification email (oddly enough, to an email address that I don't normally use for Best Buy). There was a number on there to call, if I had any questions. I called that number and the girl I spoke with said shipments are scheduled to be in on 11/10. Can you verify that at your store or if that's going to apply to all the stores?

I really want the titanium grey, after seeing it in person, so I hope that all Best Buys will have the Sprint Titanium grey.
 
I don't think I will bother with a pre-order since there doesn't seem like there will be a huge run on these phones. I did however buy a cool translucent case on ebay that will keep my white GN2 looking legit for years to come.

Depends what your needs are. If you don't need to purchase through Best Buy (which for me, isn't really an option since I have enough gift cards and the phone freedom $50 upgrade to pay for the entire phone), then there's no need to pre-order...but, it seems that inventory will be shipped in limited quantities, which could translate to not being able to get the device without a pre-order. So, the pre-order is really more for guaranteeing that you'll receive one of the phones that come in. They may only receive inventory slightly over the pre-order amounts, so similar to some of the Sprint stores, it could sell out very quickly each time they receive inventory.

Each store gets in different quantities. I'm not sure which location you were trying to pick up at but at our store we have 40 on order but none have arrived...even sprint. Best bet is too keep contact with the store and see if they get any drop shipments in of phones during the day, or on truck nights if they get them in totes.
 
There's no Note 2 on our Local BB, but there were two on display on the Sprint Store nearby. I would rather buy from BB because of 2 bad experience with that Sprint store, this includes yesterday when I was looking at the Note 2.
 
Hey all, I'm in Vegas visiting family and was curious, so I called one of the local Best Buy locations. All signs are pointing to either November 10 or 11 for the stores to finally get stocked. I got the same weekend mentioned in a store in Orange County, CA and LA, CA.

Part of me is a little happy about the delay, so that hopefully the multitasking update is sent out prior to my getting this

Anybody else contact Best Buy recently? I just called the store I pre-ordered at and they apparently heard Best Buy is "officially" releasing it tomorrow? I don't know how accurate that is, but wanted to bump this thread to see if anybody else heard the same.
 
After reading your comment I called around and got everything from Friday, to we don't know and in a first I was told that Best Buy won't be selling it.

So I'd say that they still have no clue.
 
You would think the store would know if they were releasing tomorrow based on whether or not they had inventory.

I think I am going to wait till black Friday to get the best possible deal and see if the firmware updates hit for the split screen and for someone to figure out the wifi tethering.

According to what I've been told, they usually get phones via a mid day ups drop, so they might not know based on inventory.
 
Any updates anywhere?

Most of the stores around me still seem to be hanging on the 11/10-11/11 date as the date they expect inventory to come in.

They can always check their system to see if it's actually on the truck before the truck gets to the store.
I know. I have them do it all the time when it's something I really want.
 
Wish me luck guys. I'll try to buy the GN2 today if best buy has them. Regarding carriers, I'm still not decided where to go or remain with Sprint. =)
 
Bad news, no note 2 yet, and I'm not buying in the Sprint store nearby. But the class 10 64GB microSD card was on sale so I bought 1 for my future GN2 and I'll probably buy the Galaxy note 10.1 art the same time. Asked the girl on the mobile section when they will have the GN2, And she was clueless, saying "in about a couple of weeks".

I'm still waiting for AT&T D: It sucks
 
I'm still debating if I'm staying with Sprint, or go with AT&T or T-Mobile. I would prefer AT&T but that would depend on data coverage and dependability. AT&T is a bit more expensive but I like the combination of GSM and LTE availability. T-Mobile might have a better battery life, and Sprint the best value (though I've had bad experience on their WiMAX coverage as well as terrible battery life if 4G was on). Sprint also don't have a GSM which would be beneficial if I go to the Philippines for a vacation.

All in all, I would depend on the Best Buy people to help me decide. I also love the 18 month interest free financing if I buy both the GN2 and GT2 10.1. :)
