Well, if you want Sense, Cyanogen is out of the question.
I just successfully rooted my evo and downloaded wifi tether & rom manager. The first rom on the list was Cyanogen. I took all the necessary steps and downloaded it. I received a msg saying I needed to reboot the phone to activate the Rom. It took forever to reboot, but finally got to the screen that had the blue android on the skateboard. It stayed on that screen for over 40 minutes, so I figured it was stuck and pulled out the battery to power off the phone. When I tried to power the phone back on it would never go past the white evo 4g screen. I've tried everything from recovery to clear storage. I still cant get the phone to go past that screen. I rooted my phone out of pure curiosity, and really don't understand any of this. Can you please walk me through what to do to get my phone to fully power on. I'm so afraid I've destroyed my phone, I should've just left it alone. Please Help!!!
) and play around with em a lil bit. Some things youll want if youre gonna delve into the realm of rom flashing are quickboot(just makes it a lil faster of a process), Titanium backup(darn near necessary, sms backup/restore, and Amon Ra(amon is an alternative to clockwork, if youre unsure of what im talking about, lemme know) and get some rom zips.... i like Konis ESIII for sense, but i STRONGLY prefer CM7 which is non-sense aka AOSP... good stuff
see what i get for trying to be a nice guy?!?!?! LoL jk maybe someone else who stumbles upon this thread as i did could get some use from it... meh, im bored at work with limited web access. D@mn net nannys.... but, happily this site isnt blocked LMAO!!!!
