Best Web Browser?

I'm using chrome personally, tried opera but it felt "meh" so I uninstalled.

What do you guys like?
 
Always revert back to chrome. If Opera had the swipe to change tabs function I would give Opera more attention. Chrome does it for me as it's just easy.
 
Chrome is alright.. I use it as my main browser but i have dolphin browser (beta) it packs lots of cool features.
 
I used Opera for the longest time on my Charge and I really liked it, but it got to the point where my Charge was barely coping so I've reverted back to the stock Gingerbread browser.

I myself an using Chrome on my n4 and have grown very fond of it , and don't have any complaints. At first it took a little getting used to coming from my GS3 a few months back as I was using the stock android browser, but as of now I'm pretty much fully Chromed...lol

As of now I'm also rolling with it on my Retina Macbook pro as well as my nexus 7

Yea I like Chrome : )
 
I use Firefox and Boat. Firefox performs well on both my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 and I am heavily invested in it having used it on my computers since Phoenix version 0.02 in 2003. I have all my stuff nicely synched-- I know Chrome does this too, but there is nothing motivating me to make the switch.

Boat is just a nice backup I use sometimes for variety. If Boat imported all the stuff that syncs with Firefox, I'd think about using it more. To tell you the truth, I don't do a lot of browsing on my phone-- more on the Nexus 7.

If I had never used either, I have no idea whether Chrome would appeal to me more. I just don't find any reason to switch.
 
I use chrome as my daily desktop browser so I like the consistency. Of course, I'm not a heavy mobile browser, so performance and whistles and bells aren't really a big concern for me.

That's how I feel. I don't get all the ad ons and stuff that some big browsers offer. It's all pointless to me.

What I like about chrome the most is swiping through tabs. I find that feature is the deal breaker from using any other browser. Plus it's nice having everything integrated from your pc browser.

I have noticed one big problem that will happen every now and then. Sometimes if I have more than 1 tab open, no more than 4 or 5, the phone will slow down and freeze up horribly. The phone will be unresponsive sometimes for up to 30 seconds or so. I don't know why it does this and it's usually with basic web pages open too. Out just gobbles up all the remaining memory on the phone. It's awful when it happens but luckily it's not to often.

If opera added the ability to swipe tabs, I would be smitten. Lol.
 
I do like Opera better on my tablet, but it just doesn't do enough for me to use it primarily on my phone. I've never had Chrome bog down like you describe. Maybe I'll do a little testing later. Are there any sites that you know will recreate the problem consistently?
 
Chrome because if I have to click "just once" or "always" one more time for a 3rd party app I'm going to kick a puppy.
 
I much prefer using Firefox. I find that the sync works very smoothly between the desktop program and the mobile version. The browser itself is also excellent and has certainly come far from what it was early on. I went from not wanting to use it at all early on to making it my mobile browser of choice.
 
Chrome Beta. It gets much more frequent updates than the regular Chrome browser. The beta browser is on the same version as the desktop counterpart. No stability issues or glitches to report.

That's the thing, it was just randomlly act up. Granted it usually happened when i would have 3 or more tabs open but never do I open more than 5 at one time.

BUT, I don't think I've had this problem yet with the N4. I had it with my Gnex and I thought I had it with my N4 the other day but I'm not sure. I've only had the N4 a week. Hell I can't remember in my old age :/

On my Gnex I would usually have at least 350Mb of RAM free at all times. When Chrome would go into it's fits it would pull the RAM down to under a 100 and that's when it would just hang up. So if Chrome has these 200-300Mb drains from time to time, I doubt it would ever be noticeable on the N4 with the 2Gb of RAM.

IDK. If it does start up again, I'll just deal with it because I just can't use any other browser. Guess I'm spoiled now over Chrome.

When I tried out Beta, everything was good except for 1 small thing that bothered me. Long pressing links would vibrate on Chrome but it wouldn't on Beta. NOW that Chrome has gone legit, they have taken the vibrate out all together so it guess it don't matter which one I use anymore. But I rather enjoyed the haptic on long presses. :/
 
I believe Chrome is ok for an average web browser in matter of smartphones. I use Ubuntu on my PC, and I used to have Mozilla. It was nice, but I missed sync features when I used my Windows PC at work or my phone, so I switched to Chrome on Ubuntu and I have no complains.
 
I was a Dolphin user but recently it started eating up alot of battery so I starting trying a lot of browsers: -

Skyfire
Boat
Opera
Opera Beta
Firefox
UC Browser
Maxthon
Angel Browser
and Habit Browser!

I settled on AOSP browser packaged with PA once I could get the full-screen working (I browse alot on mobile and full-screen is a must for me, sad that Chrome doesn't have it yet).
Habit browser is good though, still early days but it has a quick menu Ala the AOSP browser pie thing but it's very customisable so I'm heavily road testing this atm.
 
I use Firefox for large downloads like roms, and use Boat for browsing. Yeah if I have a large file to download Firefox is definitely my goto browser because I never have corrupted files. But Boat is much lighter, less than 4 Mb, compared to Firefox being over 20.:banghead::D

I really rather not have tabs showing when only one is open in chrome I could not find that option.

I also dislike the way updated xScope works on jellybean though. I might try boat or some other browser.
 
I got the paid version of Lightning browser and it is absolutely fantastic. I use chrome as well so I feel like I got browsing covered. Lightning+ has flash support along with JavaScript and desktop vs. Mobile view selection. I dig it...
 
Aosp browser as chrome is a battery hog. I love the labs quick controls setting in the aosp browser. It's like pie but for the browser.
