Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

Anyone ever have trouble with Wifi simply stopping sending/receiving after a while?

If I toggle Wifi off for a bit, then on again, I can get some more data... but eventually, it stops sending/receiving again. No outward indication that there's a problem - Wifi symbol stays on, stays green, but it won't transmit any data.

3G is always bulletproof.

Is anybody else's GPS really weak? I can't seem to get a signal inside my house at all. In my car, I have to hold it under my moonroof, or under the windshield for a minute before it grabs a signal. If I hold it under the roof, it just keeps on searching.

yes i have this too, if you look at the GPS before turning it on it says needs a clear view of sky. On my last trip it would work in front and passenger seat, but if i pulled it into the back it would drop until i got it closser to a window.

Anyone have any clue as to when we will be out of the beta and into an official release? It doesn't seem like there are too many unfixed bugs out there anymore so I figured it'd be pretty soon.

Just an FYI if you all don't know RevNumbers, who got CM7 running for the D2 and D2G is working on getting a fix in to the tree for the camera, camcorder and torch. These are basically the same fixes that we are flashing now, but now will be part of the ROM and a fix will not have to be flashed anymore. It sounds like the fixes are still going to use motorola code and not built from scratch. Also the camcorder will still not work on 720p and the widescreen pictures will not work on the default camera.

How could they include moto files though? I'd definitely see a C&D if they included them officially in CM7.

Yeah but even on the stock firmwares I could get a signal just by turning it on. Not that it's a big deal to me, I'm just curious. It's just that it took me a while to figure out why my GPS wasn't working while everybody else's was.

I am 99% sure i have isolated the reason for the bad battery issue surrounding cm4dx. When i reboot into recovery and select wipe battery stats, it is NOT wiping them. So I found an app that does it. Its called battery calibration. I charged my phone to 100% and then opened up the app and hit calibrate battery. My battery life seems to be back to what I used to get. Please try this out and let me know if it works for you all

Used battery calibration last night. Going through initial discharge and the battery is much improved. I would normally been dead hours ago but I'm still at 20%. Now if there was a way to implement a nighttime saver mode like blur offers that would be great. I lost 30-40% of my battery overnight while sleeping.

Never mind. My battery just dropped like a ton of bricks just after I submitted that post. I went from 20% to 4 in a matter of 90 seconds.

This is weird because I haven't ever wiped my battery stats, and I have been unplugged for 2 hours and 47 minutes as of this typing, and only used 7% battery. Sent a few texts, looked up something online, and I always kept max brightness on.

Did you recently switch to CM7? I've noticed when I had to freshly install it, my battery life is horrendous for the first two or three days.

I have been getting great battery life with CM. Granted, I use 3 batteries to get through the day, but that's beside the point. :)

Can someone tell me if it is true that the nightly tonight will have full functionality in the video?
