Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

Just installed that app - very cool!!!!

I have been hesitant to flash this b/c I use the camera daily. I know there is a fix so I may take the plunge tonight. So if someone who's flashed the latest nightly can tell me, are the only things broken the camera, video camera and video playback? Does everything else work?

It will probably be fixed in the nightlies in a few days.. IMHO, you've waited this long, just hang on for a few more days. ;)

Anyone notice you can't turn wi-fi off. It always reverts to on even when un-ticked. Nightly Build #7 - not sure if was a problem in other builds.

It turns off for me after a few seconds, but it does act funky. When I turn it off, it turns back on and then off again. But when it turns off for the second time, it stays off.

Not seeing that at all.

Wifi widgets are working.
Notification wifi toggle is working.
Turning it on and off in settings menu is working.

:o Disregard, It was Y5-Battery Saver which I hadn't realized restored from the market and was enabled.

I was just getting ready to ask if you had Y5 or Juice Defender activating wifi. Had to turn mine off.

Also, no FC of the DSP manager. The only thing that FC's for me is the Bible application on this ROM.

Still issues with this huh?

If you mean the entire ROM itself, there are still a few.

I was sceptical of flashing this; that people overstate how much better their phone is. I liked .596. This, even in its current shape, puts .596 to shame.

The only issues I have are, camcorder and local video playing (not Youtube, Netflix, etc.), camera hard button non functional, and the DSP force close (only happens once in a great while). I don't believe there is any HDMI functionality either.

Here's why the camera/camcorder isn't fixed officially in build as of yet...

@CVPCS
" the camera "fix" still isn't included yet as libLCML and libbridge should be built from source."

I have all the patience in the world.
I mean, we're really not even suppose to be able to have CM7
And because of CVPCS,
We DO.
I don't think I can ever stop applauding him :D

LoL!
What are you doing in here?
I thought I told you I'd send you a PM once things with CM4DX got stabilized!!! ROFLMAO!
(I'm goofin' around :P)
I know I know, CM4DX & its thread IS impossible to resist!
Especially since the DX is locked down and this isn't suppose to be possible.
Its getting there, its actually quite impressive watching this beta grow into a beast.

Have you taken the plunge into CM4DX yet?
There is a temp camera/Netflix/Quadrant fix via zip in CWR, but camcorder is still dead.
Cell Standby bug is gone now.
Battery life is still getting devoured.
I'm not worried about anything, we have CVPCS and Team Cyanogen behind the DX ;)
Are you fiending yet buddy?

Camcorder and battery life are the only issues I see right now. Even though I don't use the camcorder at all.

I think I said it way earlier in this thread but CM7 is very smooth and all of the options we have within it make it that much better. Can't wait until this is fully functional.

I ran some quadrants earlier and peaked at @2450 and probably averaged 2100+.

I can't say enough good things about it...and it's not even complete!

I couldn't agree more!

+1

Anyhoo, I'm admittedly a little behind the bus on this one but which quadrants app do you use to do these benchmarks. When I search the market, quite a few different results come up for Quadrant.

Those Quadrant scores are with no overclocking. Just thought I'd specify.

Look in the market for free and pay CM7 themes. You can also look here, download and push to your phone, install the .apk. After that, should be available in the theme chooser.
