#28 sorta killed my phone. As soon as I flashed and rebooted, I got stuck at the moto 'M'. SBF'd and tried to flash again, still the same deal. Right now I'm SBFing and gonna stick to #26. Anyone else with similar experiences?

Working fine here, but I did have a bad download through ROM Manager that ended up with the same result a few weeks ago. Ever since I've just grabbed them off the website and made sure the MD5's match up.

28 working just fine for me. Got it right out of ROM Manager. Downloading 29 right now.
 
So I'm back on CM7 number 28 and I got the 1% increments installed, but I think its making me neurotic. Since my new install is still "calibrating" itself, battery is dropping a lot quicker today and it's making me crazy. </end rant>

My battery life, even with the Imoseyon tweaks on 28 was just horrible. I have been installing the nightlies every night so I'm probably not giving the phone a chance to settle in. I'm going to hold off installing 29 until either much later or tomorrow and see how the battery responds today.

I was on #25 for about 3 or 4 days (I've since flashed #29. Go figure.) At first, at the end of the day, I was at 20% or less. After 3 days, I would only be at 50% or so with similar usage.

Any idea what the changes are in 29? Yes I know, I can look at the changelog but it's so damn confusing with all of the phones they are supporting!!!!

My battery life is horrible too. I may just flash Apex, and try that for a while. I guess it'll get a good run as I'm about to leave for the beach.
 
if your going to be making any kind of trips i would def suggest apex considering the battery life is alot better, and you never know when you may need your phone to take a picture, or make a call, and its always better to have a rom that has always had great battery life, opposed to one that doesnt.
 
If you want good battery life I say go with ApeX. If you want more customization/tweaks/speed, and don't mind "ok" battery life, stick with CM7 :D

Yeah I know. I like the customization with CM7 but the battery life has been horrible today. Maybe I need to just install a rom and leave my phone somewhere for 2 days until it builds up cache haha.

I installed Imoseyon tweaks yesterday and I saw an increase of 41% in my battery life. It could have been other factors involved causing my battery to die more quickly without having the Imoseyon tweaks (I say this because I rebooted my phone a few times yesterday and it could have reset something that wasn't working properly...
 
I have the Imoseyon tweaks applied to nightly #25. Would I be able to undervolt in addition to those tweaks?

Also, does anyone notice any battery improvements from undervolting on CM7?

Yes you can under volt, I do it and it definitely helps with the battery. I can go 24 hours with a stock battery on CM7 with the stock clock speeds at lower voltages.
 
I re-calibrated my battery when loading a nightly a couple days ago and battery life has been good. I'm at 1d 6h, with the screen on time at around 2 hours, and I've got 44% of my battery left.
