Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

the integrated CM7 update notifications have never worked, go into rom manager settings and check update notifications.

Oh, well RM used to show notifications in the status bar, but doesn't anymore. If I go in and click check rom for update -- it says none, even though there are new builds. Curious.

Yeah, that is weird, and you have the checkmark set in the settings of RM? That should be all you need to get those updates when a new nightly is available.

I do...But I've uncheck and rebooting. Will re-check and boot again..fingers crossed. Thanks!

:::EDIT:::
Still not working -- eh...who knows.

K another thing are nightlys entirely different versions of cm7 going ontop of the previous one or are they more like patches?

From what I've read, 720 recording is a CM7 issue. Playback is probably a library issue (I'm tired of SBF'ing - will look at it over the weekend).

I'm sure you've guys have noticed the file format changed; Blur records in 3gp, CM7 in m4v.
yea...720p recording is a major problem for cm7 on all phones. really sucks, but 480p ain't bad. i can definitely live with it.

So...I've been on the .07P radio since the initial release of CM7 for the X but yesterday I decided to try the .12P radio, for no real reason other than being bored. After changing to .12P I lost my data connection 5 times yesterday and once already this morning, to get it back I have to toggle data on/off. Needless to say I'm currently installing the .zip to bring me back to the .07P radio.

The last time I went on CM7 I used the monster zip and ended up with the .12P radio, but I havent noticed the problem with data.

Yesterday, I lost my data three times on the .07P radio. I fixed it twice with reboots and airplane mode toggle but couldn't fix it the third time it happened. I'm on .12P today.

It's strange how some people are having better luck with one radio over the other.

Anyone know if the radio image also modifies the Wifi radio?

I have sporadic problems with Wifi but no problems at all with 3G.

Also, bump for this post:

Anyone ever have trouble with Wifi simply stopping sending/receiving after a while?

If I toggle Wifi off for a bit, then on again, I can get some more data... but eventually, it stops sending/receiving again. No outward indication that there's a problem - Wifi symbol stays on, stays green, but it won't transmit any data.

3G is always bulletproof.

I forgot to mention that not only was I losing my data connection with the .12P radio but my cell signal strength had only 1 or 2 bars when it is usually full.

Yesterday I had lost data a couple times, I only had to turn my data off one time to get it back on. This was the first time since being on CM7 that I have ran in to that problem. I am on 34 still so it was not like I had loaded a new nightly that caused this problem.

I wonder if there was a Verizon problem yesterday that caused this since this happened to more than one person???? I have always been on the .07 radio as well.

Curious as I'm back on GingerBread but had something similiar happen where I couldn't make calls or send and SMS I believe two nights ago from my house. Everything was fine the next morning from my work so not sure if it was a location thing or overall network problem at the time but it was very strange.

It's not really necessary to flash nightlies on a "nightly" basis. I only do it when there's a major update, or if I'm bored :D
