Root Birdmans new rom flyX

Now, how I can use widget locker on 2.2 and have security pin upon unlocking? As far as I can see, there is no option to disable slider only and live PIN, password, pattern active?

does anyone know where to find the boot animation that comes with this ROM? It is bad ass and minimalistic.

I believe that is the stock 2.2 android image. If you run a stock 2.2 AVD in the android SDK it is exactly the same.

Set up your normal keyguard, then in widgetlocker settings -> advanced -> retain system keyguard. I think that should work.

Anyone try the latest update to fly x? Supposedly all those budd arefixed and hr added swype and the build prop tweaks

Running it right now with build.prop mods. No force closes yet which I was getting right away with the RC1 build. Seems pretty solid.

In the update is voice inputs working? Also is the search button working? Those were my only 2 problems, the latter is not as important to me, but voice inputs are a must.

So what's the easier way for me to try this out if I'm already using rooted, deodexed, 2.2? Flash with .sbf, root, move su, update to 2.2, install FlyX ROM then restore apps with TiBu?

I think the only requirements were to be running the leaked 2.2 and rooted. Download ROM Manager, download FlyX from there, wipe data/clear cache and install ROM. All of these can be done via ROM Manager.

I thought I read somewhere that a few specific things needed to be in place and it was almost easier to just start fresh.

I tried this - after restoring apps with TiBU LauncherPro would insta force-close repeatedly...Went back to my backup from today (which happens to be running great!)

From his site:

To install, YOU MUST HAVE THE 2.2 LEAK INSTALLED THEN install my rom.
Use clockworkmod recovery

There was a more "in-depth" instruction list on AllDroid, I'll see if I can find that.

Sorry, was @ Droid-Life

This is the biggest reason I might hold off on this for now. My current setup is running fine and I don't want to encounter a bunch of bugs when trying to switch over.
